It is incredible how time flew. Only one week left to go. I began the seventh unit as often going through the learning guide to have a clear idea about what must be done in this week. Then, I started reading the
chapters that were recommended for this unit. I spent many hours trying to read and understand the two chapters. Week 7 was focused on how we use interpolation to implement spline curves within graphics systems. To gain an insight into this topic I carried out several tasks. The first task was reading the assigned reading materials. After going through the reading material, I completed the discussion forum. Right after I Participated in the discussion forum and went through some of the peers’ posts. I then completed the written assignment and the self-quiz. This week’s discussion was about how a
Bézier
spline could be implemented in 3D space using WebGL and the Three.js API. Honestly, I was struggling to find good picture/image examples for my discussion post. Instead, I used a code example. As far as I understood Bezier spline it is a curve that is used to show smooth and elegant shapes. It is widely used in vector graphics, 3D modeling, computer aided design, and in creating curves and surfaces (Halsey, 2013). Here is the example I used for my discussion post:
Discuss the application of the Bézier splines in engineering and cartography software.
Bazier curves have a lot of applications in the science, engineering, and technology areas, like highway model, railway route, robotics, networks, animation, environment design, communications, and other areas. It was developed to help engineers to build the complex curvature of a car’s bodywork with a computer. Here are some key applications of Bezier splines:
- As mentioned before, Bezier splines are significant in automotive design to build the curves and the car body surfaces. Designers can control the shape of car parts and improve aerodynamics. - In civil engineering, it can be used to build accurate structural elements of buildings and bridges. The curves help to analyze the performance. - In aerospace engineering Bezier splines can help to create and model the shape of aircraft parts, which helps designers to design aerodynamic efficient and smooth profiles (USMAN et al., 2019).
As for using Bezier splines in cartography software we can mark some important areas:
- Bezier splines are used to show in map representation where they show roads, rivers, and other geographic features on maps. - They are used in GPS navigation systems to create smooth routes which helps users to navigate with directions and displaying the path ahead.
- Bezier splines are useful for entering elevation values that help in showing the continuous nature of terrain feature (Pal, 2010).

This problem must be presented in a logical order showing the necessary steps used to arrive at an answer. Each homework problem should have the following items unless otherwise stated in the problem:
a. Known: State briefly what is known about the problem.
b. Schematic: Draw a schematic of the physical system or control volume.
c. Assumptions: List all necessary assumptions used to complete the problem.
d. Properties: Identify the source of property values not given to you in the problem. Most sources will be from a table in the textbook (i.e. Table A-4).
e. Find: State what must be found.
f. Analysis: Start your analysis with any necessary equations. Develop your analysis as completely as possible before inserting values and performing the calculations. Draw a box around your answers and include units and follow an…

You are assigned as the head of the engineering team to work on selecting the right-sized blower that will go on your new line of hybrid vehicles. The fan circulates the warm air on the inside of the windshield to stop condensation of water vapor and allow for maximum visibility during wintertime (see images). You have been provided with some info. and are asked to pick from the bottom table, the right model number(s) that will satisfy the requirement. Your car is equipped with a fan blower setting that allow you to choose between speeds 0, 1,2 and 3. Variation of the convection heat transfer coefficient is dependent upon multiple factors, including the size and the blower configuration. You can only use the following parameters:

Chapter 3. On a Thursday, Jeanie decided that she would like to have a dinner party for a few of her colleagues and was wondering if Saturday was a feasible day to have the party or not. She wanted to get an idea of how many hours of work she would need to do to make a reasonably fancy dinner ready by 6 PM on Saturday. She decided to create a project network based on the activities she thought were essential for doing this. Help her identify the critical path by creating a project network and activity schedule (show work in your submission file in the last question of this problem set) and answer the following questions.
