Planned Parenthood and other institutions that offer safe abortions are being targeted for restrictions, and the party is attempting to block such efforts. Justice System (including death penalty) The Democratic Party is pushing for the death penalty to be eliminated. Security must be maintained by securing the borders and thoroughly screening those who want to immigrate to the US. Diversity and fair opportunity are strengths of the nation, and individuals will benefit from immigration. "Free society" is built on the traditional family and marriage (between men and women). According to the constitution, marriage is defined as "the union of one man and one woman." Marriage and Family Life Democrats will enable everyone to live life with dignity and respect “regardless of who they are or who they love.” Democrats believe that marriage should not be held to just men and women. Compared to other national issues, climate change should not receive as much attention because it is not a significant problem at the national level. The party claims that Congress must stop climate change because it has "triumphed over common sense." Climate Change A significant problem, climate change has been demonstrated by an unprecedented number of storms, wildfires, and floods. For the purpose of developing a cleaner energy economy, the party will rejoin the Paris Climate Accord. Instead of being an entitlement, welfare should be a privilege.
