The term “sexual intelligence” is a term created by Goering and Wolfe to help people understand their sexual escapades. As well as develop their sexual escapades. There are four objectives that represent different aspects of sexual intelligence. In my discussion, I will be giving brief descriptions of each as well as going over the impact that each has had on my personal life. 4 Components: Skills, Characteristics, Abilities, Knowledge Skills- This includes the development of skills needed to engage in sexual activities. These are not limited to consent, communication, and receptivity. Characteristics- This includes personal values that shape a person's sexual experience. Some big factors include self-awareness and consideration. Abilities- This captures the emotional and mental capacity of ann individual in order to have sexual experiences. Knowledge- This includes the knowledge and understanding of sexuality and sexual experiences. This is not limited to body anatomy, sexual health, and orientation as well. The main objectives that contributed to my sexual experiences were my mom as well as my friends. I say that because I was always taught by my mom to wait to have sex until you're fully ready because sex comes with a lot of emotions etc. I personally agree to this day well after losing my virginity. I included my peers because all of my peers were having sexual relations very early on and because of that, I feel as though they steered in a completely different direction.
