Which of the four areas would you consider your “superpower” in the classroom? Explain why you chose this superpower and support with examples from your practice. a. Classroom Management b. Dynamic Lesson Design c. Student Engagement d. Checking For Understanding & Providing Student Feedback Exceeds Expectations Meets Expectations Fails Expectations Candidate chooses a superpower area and provides a clear rationale with multiple examples from their real practice including portfolio examples (i.e powerpoints, lessons, videos etc) Candidate chooses a superpower area and clearly explains rationale including support and examples from their real practice. Candidate chooses the superpower area but does not back up the response with explanation or examples from their own practice. 2. You are completing a peer observation of the best teacher in the school. What are you seeing happen in that teacher's classroom that confirms to you they are a highly effective teacher? What is the teacher doing? What are the students doing? Candidate does not specifically define what the teacher or students are doing in a highly effective classroom. Candidate is not able to identify
showing how they themselves would qualify as a highly effective teacher. components of a highly effective teacher and does not make any personal connection to the topic. 3.
