Class #4 Participation Prompt Thomas Purcell Which part of the wheel are you drawn to the most? Why? Give an example of how you’ve contributed to that type of social change in your community. Which part of the wheel do you find most challenging to see yourself contributing to? Why? Identify one approach to social change that you would like to engage with during your time at Northeastern. How do you think engaging in the local community in this way could make a positive impact? I am most drawn to the social responsible daily behavior part of the wheel. For me it is very important to be active in my community during my day to day life. I like to think that contributing to small acts like helping someone cross the street or picking up someone’s trash, find a way to impact the community positively. Community and economic development is challenging for me because I do not know that much about it yet. I would like to approach social change by getting involved in clubs or organizations that push for change within the northeastern community. I think that participating in things like that makes a positive local impact.
