Alexander the Great is the most famous conqueror in the history of the world. His legacy and conquest has shaped the world we know today. Many leaders after him have looked to him as an example of what a good leader should be. “Alexander the Great’s tomb was one of the biggest tourist attractions of the ancient world. Roman emperors, including Pompey, Julius Caesar, and Caligula traveled to Alexandria to pay their respects.” It all started at the age of 18 when Alexander took charge of the Companion Cavalry and helped his father in defeating the Athenian and Theban armies. Starting from such a young age Alexander has been already shaping the empire he would create. At the age of twenty he became king, then by the age of twenty-six he conquered the Persian Empire and at age thirty explored the Indian frontier. He was an unstoppable force conquering the world. Alexander the Great is the greatest conqueror of the known world, because of the personal teachings of Aristotle of Stagira, his innovated military genius and multicultural integration methods.

Alexander started his supremacy as a passionate and an enlightened leader. He encouraged citizens and combatants to trust him and be ready to conquer other Empire. Alexander built loyalty among soldiers and armed them with all necessary equipment of battles. He became addicted to power and quickly started forming a vast Macedonian Army. Alexander always controlled situations and led a group of people into the success. Alexander the Great is considering as one of the most prominent fighters and legend in the history of Greece Empire. While in his prime, one of the world’s greatest warriors lead a life of conquering victory for 12 years before it was cut short due to alcohol poisoning at thirty-three years of age. It could be said that watching his father win all these battles and be victorious inspired Alexander to become a great leader just like Phillip.

Many tall tales about his birth origin circulated throughout and after his life including his personal claim of descent from Achilles and Zeus. Alexander’s father was usually away fighting with the neighboring nations. However, one very important thing to Alexander’s father and mother was that he was to get an amazing education. While he was young, Alexander’s father hired him a tutor. One of the tutors was Aristotle, who was a very famous Greek Philosopher. When Alexander was only sixteen years old his father believed that Alexander could successfully be in charge of Macedonia until he came back from the campaign. While Alexander was in charge he took on an amazing opportunity and actually defeated the Thracian people. After the defeating of the Thracian people Alexander named a city after himself. The city was called “Alexandroupolis”. During Alexander’s teenage years he and his father ended up becoming very estranged. It got so bad that his mother actually had to exile Epirus. His father was assassinated in 336 B.C. at the celebration that was held for his daughter, Cleopatra, when she got married. After the tragic loss of Alexander’s father, he soon became the King. While he took on power he became someone who had a lot of support including from the Macedonian army and the Greek City States in which Phillip, Alexander’s father, had already conquered.
