American history is responsible for the creation of conspiracy theories for famous ideas and events constructed by the government and made available for the public to either believe or disbelieve a hoax or phenomena. Merriam-Webster defines conspiracy as “a theory that explains an event or set of circumstances as the result of a secret plot by usually powerful conspirators.” A popular theory to be defined as an alleged hoax is the end to the “Space Race,” accomplished by the United States of America’s Apollo 11 mission that successfully brought Commander, Neil A. Armstrong and Lunar Module Pilot, Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr. to the surface of the moon. Neil Armstrong, a public icon, is memorialized infinitely for his phrase: “One small step for a …show more content…
Trial and error was the focus for forging a successful mission’s launch vehicle and spacecraft. Sadly, after setback of a launch fire that killed three training astronauts, Apollo 7, yielded the first success in systems and structure on October 1968. 9:32 A.M. at Kennedy Space Center. Subsequently, Armstrong, Buzz, and Michael Collins launched Apollo 11 and entered lunar orbit on July 19th, 1969. In fact, upon landing Apollo 11 on the surface of the moon, Armstrong radioed Mission Control and relayed another famous phrase, “The Eagle has landed.” These four words signified a successful moon landing. At the height of a growing conspiracy, a television camera that was attached to the spacecraft captured Armstrong’s progress down the module’s ladder. Buzz joined Armstrong a few minutes later where they spent the night on the surface of the moon, constructing the American flag, as well as, a plaque that read, “Here men from the planet Earth first set foot on the moon–July 1969 A.D–We came in peace for all mankind.”
Skeptics of the success of Apollo 11 claim the appearance of the American flag waves in the lunar wind as shown in pictures brought back to Earth as their proof that the flag was never planted. While the debunkers of the Apollo missions would be correct that a flag erected on the moon’s surface would not wave in the wind like the photographs pictured, background exists to validate otherwise. The science admonishes
One of the most patriotic moments in United States history was an American stepping foot on the Moon. It came at a time when the U.S. was involved in the Cold War, bringing joy to the entire country. It was a task that took years of failure and hard work to accomplish. The moon landing helped elevate the status of the United States as a country trying to catch up to the Soviet Union in the race of space advancement. However, this accomplishment has been diminished by many who have claimed it be staged. Two of them are Bill Kaysing, who published a book detailing the hoax in 1976, and Bart Sibrel, who published a documentary in 2001.
Many people believe the moon landing never happened. The number one belief is that the photographic evidence is fake. The astronauts took thousands of pictures, each one perfectly exposed and sharply focused. Not one was badly composed or even blurred. In particular, there is one photo that is often mentioned, the photo of Neil Armstrong putting the American flag into the moon. The strange thing about this photo is that the flag is waving like it’s in the wind. “The obvious problem here is that there’s no air in the moon’s atmosphere, and therefore no wind to cause the flag to blow.” (Josh Fox, 2012). Theorists state that since the moon has no atmosphere, so if it was really on the moon there is no way the flag couldn't be waving
But even with the flag with the wire in it the bottom of the flag was still waving. And with the landing crater if there was a crater from the landing dust would still be around the area in the pictures. Plus there are also conspiracy theories that the reason we didn’t go the moon is because aliens could be a possibility because when russia went to the moon there were theories that the original people never came back and they just had people that made it look like that came back when they really didn’t. Problems with some of the rovers sent to the moon had unknown problems and they don’t know why. It was system failure or anything like that they were

Many accomplishments throughout the years, in the United States have formed our country to a nationalist society. On July 20th, 1969, the Mission Control Center in Houston, Texas received the call, “Houston”, which confirmed the landing of these three astronauts on the moon. Recently though, many discussions of the Apollo 11 mission have astonished thoughts of many Americans. Conspiracy theorists are looking at the Moon Landing as a hoax and one big set up that Americans were fooled into believing actually happened. In 1974, Bill Kasying wrote a book entitled We Never Went to the Moon:
Some Americans now ask, "Was the moon landing a hoax?" Is this actually possible; would the U.S. government lie to our nation, let alone the whole world? The answer, no, should jump out. Hoax believers (HBs) thought they researched this thoroughly and gained enough evidence to prove that the moon landing was a hoax, but they don't know jack! Their whole case can be compared to a brick house with one difference. It seems like the bricks have all the corners, sides, and shape of a house. The evidence seems to be very strong, but the bricks are only one dimensional. All the "supposed" evidence crumbles after a little research. In this report I will show HBs falsified case along with the truth.
Conspiracy theories have been around since the beginning of time. When NASA sent the first landed on the moon, there are people who believed that NASA faked the moon landings. Men, such as Bill Kaysing, the Flat Earth Society, and Davie Groves, and Bart Sibrel, have written books, delivered lectures, and made videos about why they believed NASA faked the moon landings. Based on their observations which include no stars in their pictures, NASA's drive to beat the Russians to the moon, and a way to distract people from the Vietnam war, the group believes that the moon landings were faked.
Description of Moon Landing Hoax On July 20th 1969 the American space program has landed the first human on the Moon. Until today conspiracies about the moon landings has been debated endlessly over that fact that the American space program in reality, landed Apollo 11 on the moon or was fabricated with the assistance of stage props. Due to the lack of evidence as to the moon landings being real, 45-50% of the Americans also believed that the space programs were a waste of time.
It has been forty-seven years since families across America were in awe watching the Apollo 11 land on the moon and hearing Neil Armstrong famously say “That 's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind”. It has also been forty-seven years of people doubting the legitimacy of this footage. The theorists versus the realists is a never ending debate over whether this was a staged government hoax or if America actually made it to space. With hundreds of theories circulating involving Stanley Kubrick, Area 51, and the validity of a wrinkle in a flag. Was America really that eager to beat the Soviets and win the Space Race or did we just hit the jackpot in scientific discovery?
It wasn 't until I really sat down and thought about it that I realized the moon landing was questionable. As a kid I always thought it would be amazing to be an astronaut so the thought that maybe there is no real astronauts at all had me concerned. On July 20th 1969, the Apollo 11 with astronaut Neil Armstrong and his crew, guided by thousands of NASA technicians, supposedly landed in the surface of the moon. This landing at its time was considered the most amazing technological advancement in the history of mankind. The moon landing is something that everyone knows about but as it turns out about 20% americans and 50% or Ukrainians don 't believe the moon landing really happened, here 's why.
Armstrong took moon samples and photographs as soon as he landed on the moon. The conspiracy theory claims that the elements of the moon landings were hoaxes by NASA with other organization. The public made conspiracy claims since the 1970s and claim that NASA and others knowingly faked the whole moon landing by manufacturing, tampering with, or destroying evidence including pictures, tapes, radio and television transmissions,
On September 08, 1966, Captain James T. Kirk set out on his 5 year long voyage in his starship, the Enterprise, with his crew-mates to go where no man has gone before. This isn’t history but the air date and the synopsis for the fictional TV show Star Trek, about a captain and his crew exploring the wonders the galaxy. A great and fictional TV series Star Trek was, it is more surprising that in just approximately 3 years after this date, the human race was able to accomplish this feat. The human race was able to go where no man has gone before, to the moon, the landing of Apollo 11 on July 1969. What was thought to be a fictional concept told in stories has now become reality. … Or did it really happen?, a generally question that would asked by conspiracy theorist. Conspiracy theorist would argue that in fact it didn’t happen because it was too suspicious to be true. It could’ve been fabricated. Almost 40 years to present day, this conspiracy yet still remains. A matter evolving through time, its hard to say if this conspiracy is true due to it complexity, however its is still plausible to understand the context of this issue. Through examining specific cases of the american flag on the moon, the shadow cast on the moon, and the dangerous radiation exposure from the journey to the moon, we can understand about the conspiracy, what it is and how it came to be.
According to Dave Cosnette and countless other conspiracy theorists, the 1969 Apollo 11 mission never went to the moon and several say never left Earth’s atmosphere. The theories range from the crew never leaving Earth to the crew only getting into the orbit of the moon. Their evidence consists of anomalies found in the footage captured by the crew on the moon as well as in space, technology at the time of the mission, and numerous natural phenomena that the crew would have to overcome to land on the moon. Their arguments depend on low quality video and photographs, along with limited insight due to a lack of credentials and knowledge on the events and physics. Some “evidence” commonly used by conspiracy theorists are the shadows in the film, lack of stars while on the moon, the Van Allen belt, and many more anomalies that may not even be relevant to the mission itself. The conspiracy theory that will be discussed is the one where the mission never left the lower atmosphere of Earth proven by anomalies in the film along with the “impassable” Van Allen radiation belt (Cosnette 1).
“Mr. Fix It” other wise known as Jack Kinzler was the genius mind behind the engineering of the flag that would have conspirators puzzled for decades. He designed the flag like your curtains at home are designed. He inserted a pole in the top hemmed pocket to “to support it and make it appear to fly on the airless Moon as it would in the wind on Earth”. Which is why the flag stands a perfected 90 degree angle when it is untouched, because there is no outside force like wind affecting it because it is standing on the moon. However the “wind” isn't the only reason people claim the moon landing is
That we know of the arrival of the man to the moon? The government of the United States I warn us to the whole world that the Apollo program already had come to the moon, showing us a video of the arrival of the astronauts leaving the flag of the United States. But with to pass of the years, the specialists have been checking again and again the video of the landing, managing to see that parts reports of the space were absent, as the stars, and that the flag waves when in the space there is no air. The people to begun not to believing the idea that the government of United States said to us do more of 40 years. But all that they come thanks to the need of the government to show to be Superiors that other countries.
