About 40 million American adults suffer from some sort of anxiety disorder. Many Americans have to deal with it everyday. Anxiety is one of the most common mental/emotional disorders. Although many Americans have some type of anxiety disorder, the way it affects someone is different for every person. Most people are unaware of what anxiety actually is and how much it could affect someone. Anxiety is the body’s natural response to danger or a difficult situation. It is the automatic alarm that goes off when someone is under pressure. There are about five most common types of anxiety. Generalized anxiety disorder, known as GAD, is the constant worries that distract from day-to-day activities. That includes work, school, or just being in public and doing things like shopping. The symptoms of GAD show up more physically rather than mentally.
