the company does not have a specific organizational style, this type of communication works well for us. However, in the overall company it is my opinion that there should be a clearer form of overall organizational culture that would lend itself to a general communication style.
Vision “Visionary leadership involves identifying the focus of the organization, department, or group; a plan that allows for that focus to become reality and be sustained; and an outcome evaluation mechanism that encourages frequent communication among all involved as to whether that focus is to continue or be changed” (The Nature of Leadership: Distinguishing Leadership From Management, 2013). Having vision is a significant part of being an effective leader. In order to be an effective leader it is important to have a great vision which can create hunger in the organization so that everyone will want to work toward one goal. Barb tends to have an overwhelming amount of vision and strives to ensure that it is maintainable by the entire group. She wants to know what the members of her team have a passion and talent for and tries to encompass it into her vision so that we will want to work together and make it achievable.

In my opinion leadership styles can make or break a company. For example, if a leader displayed a Laissez-Faire leadership style how would the employees be productive? There would be no incentive or drive exhibited by the leader which would in turn not warrant the employees to have direction or have accountability in their positions. One the other hand an Authoritarian leader would be on the complete other end of the spectrum. These leaders are bossy, condescending and want things done only their way without input from the rest of the team. This would create doubt in their employees as well as possibilities of a hostile work
Communication is one of the main things humans do in their day to day activities. Scholars define communication as an act of exchanging information between one another and understanding the meaning of it (Semenescu, 2016). The four mains types of communication are written, verbal, non-verbal and visual. Humans communicate to establish relationship, build foundation for planning, socializing in general and motivating each other. Communication can vary in different settings. For example in personal context, communication style used is more relaxed, which means that informal language is used. However, in a professional context, communication style used in more focused on workplace. Therefore, the language used is more formal so as to show respect

There are many different types of leadership styles that are tailored to a firm's goals and resources and the leader must be able to determine which is best. Leadership can make or break an operation as is sets the operational structure and the amount of power each individual has. No matter what a manager must be able to effectively lead a team. They need to be able to motivate individuals and keep them on task so they may reach their goal within a timely manner. Without leadership an operation can fall to pieces if employees lack direction, are unaware of the goal, or lack the passion to execute their task properly.
Your mission statement embraces the reasons your practice exists (besides just making a living for you and your staff), the core values your organization shares and expresses through its work, how you serve your key stakeholders, and your overarching (sometimes idealistic) goals. A mission statement, which is the company’s fundamental purpose, is tremendously important. It should be part of any strategy and embedded into the culture of the establishment. The hospital mission is to serve, to care for, and assist in the healing of our patients and their families (Mission Statement, n.d.). This statement is the first line of business and introduced to all new staff members by the human resources department on their first day of work. The purpose of this is to freeze the statement into the culture of all staff. The mission statement is routinely included alongside any new line of business or strategy introduced to managers and staff as well.

I have worked for my current company for three years. In that time, I have worked under two Directors with two very different leadership styles. My first Director was more of an autocratic leader “who tends to centralize authority and derive power from position, control of rewards, and coercion” (Daft, 2015). Conversely, my second and current Director is a democratic leader who “delegates authority to others, encourages participation, relies on subordinates’ knowledge for completion of tasks, and depends on subordinates respect for influence” (Daft, 2015). These two leadership styles are completely opposite, but leadership is needed in organizations. “Leadership is the heart and soul of an organization. Leadership is the ability to inspire
