This market’s consumer demographic ranges from 10 to 50 years of age. Mr. Beard has secured a 10 year partnership between EA Sports and DMC for all Marketing Plan rights. His knowledge of diverse age demographics and “Speed Branding” will be a cornerstone of our marketing plan to understand the complexity of consumers at a community college.
Jonathan Fertal, Cofounder and Vice President of Technology, has had a long term partnership with Apple Inc. since the conception of DMC. DMC’s first major marketing campaign was for Apple’s iPad and iMac. While working with Apple’s CEO Steven Jobs, Mr. Jobs was impressed with then little know marketing company comprised on community college students. With Mr. Job’s assitance and guidance, DMC became to be known in the Marketing Industry as “The Apple of Advertising,” because of its uncharacteristically innovative marketing mixes. Jonathan’s double Masters Degree in International Business and Marketing from University of Pennslyvania’s Wharton School of Business has shaped his understanding of global consumer habits. Currently DMC the exclusive rights to Apple’s marketing program. Mr. Fertal’s undertanding of technology as a cornerstone for education will be utilized.

Apple is an American multinational corporation which designs, manufactures and markets a range of consumer electronics and software products (Apple Inc., 2008). At the end of last fiscal year, Apple’s worldwide annual sales amounted to $32.5 billion, an increase of 35% from 2007 (Apple Inc., 2008). Not surprisingly then, was Apple voted America’s most admired company, also topping the global survey (Fortune,
Apple is a global company represented in many parts of the world, but born in the United States by computer wizards by the names of Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak who founded the company back in 1976 (Capon, 2008). The organization deals with the design and sale of computer hardware, software and offers tech support to its customers. Examples of the hardware the company manufactures and sells include mobile phones, personal computers, iPads, tablets and iTunes with associated brands, like the MacBook and iPhones that represent Apple’s driving force towards its success. It is recognized as a brand leader in consumer electronics by the world in terms of quality and customer satisfaction and despite the wide product range, Apple manages each product in a distinct way that is a single business unit (Mittan, 2010).
Apple was established as an IT company dealing in exclusively in computers. However, competition in the technology sector forced the firm to focus on other consumer products. The diversification strategy has seen Apple’s sales grow tremendously in the last decade, earning the firm the No. 1 brand position at Forbes. The Apple brand is recognized on an international scale and enjoys a strong recognition thanks to its aggressiveness when it comes to creativity and innovation (Tar, 2013). It has a large number of loyal customers who would purchase the new products regardless of the market price, which guarantees profits from the new division.
Apple’s advertising focuses more on a lifestyle instead of a product and has helped create a cult-like loyalty among Apple enthusiasts.
Apple implemented the marketing concept by focusing on customers’ needs through imagination, design, and innovation creating an emotional brand for its customers. Even though Apple is a technological company it takes a humanistic approach to satisfying the needs of its customers far better than the competition.
Issue 02: Apple is a wildly successful company that generates billions of dollars in profits every year. This is one of the strongest examples of how a company with the right strategy, great products, a strong leader and the willingness to take some risks can become vastly successful. The market in which Apple is strong has intense rivalry for market share. Apple is challenged with staying ahead of its competitors and maintaining long-term relationships with its customers. In order to stay ahead of the competition Apple is forced to keep product innovation a top priority. I would maintain a Blue Ocean Strategy to market our product and maintain our competitive advantage (McGraw-Hill Irwin, Page 152). The company has a strong and loyal customer base which will allow Apple to concentrate the focus to highlighting the features of our products. I will not focus on what our competitors can and cannot do; I will focus the attention to the benefits of having Apple products. Strategic marketing campaigns highlighting the different uses and features of the popular iPhone and iPad will headline the campaign.
After browsing Apple's official website, I think it did quite successful with an overall sense and expression of Apple’s brand image. From my own perspective, I like Apple's official website design style, simple and sophistication. On the homepage, the advertisement in the middle catches the eye, with a big post and link to the related products. Colors are also designed to be simple and fresh on the homepage, adapting to Apple’s brand concept and making customers feel comfortable when browsing their website, which will interest customers to learn more information about this company's products and will give customers a perfect user experience. Secondly, I think
Apple wished to still be a leader in the technology world and target those who live home alone; the following marketing plan will provide the necessary marketing strategies that will help Apple boost its position as still the
Apple is an American multinational company that produces computer software, cell phones, personal computers, and other electronic products for consumers. Some well-known Apple products include: the iPhone, the iPod, the iPad, and the Macintosh line of computers. There are many Apple retail stores in America, as well as overseas. “Apple software includes the Mac OS X operating system; the iTunes media browser; the iLife suite of multimedia and creativity software; the iWork suite of productivity software; Aperture, a professional photography package; Final Cut Studio, a suite of professional audio and film-industry software products; Logic Studio, a suite of music production tools; the Safari web browser; and iOS, a mobile operating system.”(What is Apple?).
This paper comprehensively describes the marketing plan of a charismatic organization Apple Inc. The main focus of the paper is to describe the most important marketing strategies which Apple has espoused from the date of its emergence and different challenges which it has faced from time to time. The paper begins with an introduction to the organization. Apple Inc. is an American MNC; engaged in the business of developing and marketing of IT products. Apple has expanded its business operations all over the world. Every product which Apple introduces has its own target market; it develops marketing plan and strategies for each of its products separately (Apple, 2012). Apple's strengths include strong brand image, financial strength, product and process design, and highly efficient operations management while high prices and inability of up gradation of some products are its main weaknesses. Apple has threats from its competitors, increasing costs, and economic situations but has greater opportunities in entering new markets, making strategic alliances, and bringing innovations through efficient R&D. Before entering new markets, Apple has to analyze the business environment through sensitivity analysis, and then decide a framework for the future strategies.
Apple prides itself on offering innovative technology to a society that has become dependent on it. In markets inundated with companies offering similar products and services, Apple has had to rise above and distinguish itself from the masses. While their products have a cultivated a devoted-customer following (our family is one of them), their organization and the values it espouses are what will help them to remain a relevant and successful company in the tech world.
Nowadays, Apple has positioned itself to be an innovator in the personal computer industry and Apple has developed by offering modern products compared to its competitors. According to Apple’s mission statement last year, “Apple designs Macs, the best personal computers in the world, along with OS X, iLife, iWork and professional software. Apple leads the digital music revolution with its iPods and iTunes online store. Apple has reinvented the mobile phone with its revolutionary iPhone and App store, and is defining the future of mobile media and computing devices with iPad.” (Business Management,
As teams use youth marketing to make their organization grow, they must realize it’s important to know the most appropriate time to deliver certain messages. Marketers must understand that marketing to a seven year old must be different than marketing to a ten year old. For example, the NFL has been working in the past few months to sharpen their focus. They have really focused on the eleven to fourteen year old group. Statistics show that the time in the life cycle when kids are making decisions about participating in football and long-lasting decisions about sports consumption and viewership.
