Part 1: Apple Inc, Company Apple Inc is one of the largest American Multinational technologies that offer different electronics products as well as services to its consumers. The company also engages itself in the design, development, and the selling of consumer electronics, online services, and computer software. The company headquarters is at Cupertino, California. The mission statement for Apple Inc states that, Apple designs Macs, the best personal computers on earth, along with OS X, iLife, iWork and professional software (Milligan, 2012). The company also leads the digital music revolution with some of its products like iTunes online store and the iPods. Additionally, Apple has reinvented the mobile phone industry with its revolutionary iPhone and Appstore and is defining the future of mobile media as well as its computing devices with the iPad. Initially, Apple as a company has engaged in a series of campaigns that were made to help its products sell well to the consumers (Milligan, 2012). In the year 2005, the company designed a marketing campaign that involved Eminem in an iPod campaign that was named as Detroit. The campaign could cause harm to the business as a number of people came forth and claimed that the campaign was similar to what had been done previously in the campaign of Lugz boots. The copyright of the campaign could bring problems to the company (Milligan, 2012).

First, let’s start with the Apple Inc. mission and the company history and an introduction of what apple is and what they do and provide to the market. Apple designs high quality personal computers, music players and mobile communication devices for business, education and entertainment (Apple, 2012). Apple, through easy to use, professional software such as iOS, OSX and iTunes leads the world in digital music distribution and mobile computing with its iPod, iPhone and iPad devices (Apple, 2012). Apple will continue to create electronic devices and software that is so cutting edge that it is redefining mobile computing, media distribution, and communication.
Apple is a global company represented in many parts of the world, but born in the United States by computer wizards by the names of Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak who founded the company back in 1976 (Capon, 2008). The organization deals with the design and sale of computer hardware, software and offers tech support to its customers. Examples of the hardware the company manufactures and sells include mobile phones, personal computers, iPads, tablets and iTunes with associated brands, like the MacBook and iPhones that represent Apple’s driving force towards its success. It is recognized as a brand leader in consumer electronics by the world in terms of quality and customer satisfaction and despite the wide product range, Apple manages each product in a distinct way that is a single business unit (Mittan, 2010).

Along with its many retail locations Apple also runs the online Apple Store making it a truly global brand. Over the years Apple has expanded their product line; in its infancy the company specialized in personal computers but more recently the main product line is phones and tablets. Throughout history there have been many successful companies as well as companies that have been a debacle. The success of the company has to do with the management and how it executes its strategy. If the management is ineffective, the company will most likely fail; however, if the company has good management it is more likely to prosper.
