CASE STUDY: COLORADO ALLIANCE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:
Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education is a 501(C) 3 nonprofit corporation that exists to serve the shared interests of public agencies, businesses, teachers, community organization, and individuals disturbing or using environmental education (EE) materials and programs. It is a neutral and objective source of information related to EE in Colorado and a voice for EE’s important role in the balance between societal needs and environmental quality. As a statewide member organization, CAEE has over 850 members from across Colorado including teachers, students,

Additional findings from their study found that American consumers want companies to give them an opportunity to:
Buy a cause related product..................................................81%
Learn bout a social or environmental issue...............80%
Change their behavior.................................................78%
From Cone, Inc. study findings, it seems that a Cause Branding is a good source for solutions to CAEE’s image awareness and funding issues.
The attached Cone, Inc.’s case study illustrates an example for CAEE.
Cone Inc.’s case study for the National Wildlife Federation "Be Out There” developed a successful five-year campaign. However, the strategies for CAEE would be modified and adapted for the size difference in CAEE’s compared to the national size of the National Wildlife Federation.

The second case study is Cone, Inc.’s Cause Brand communication campaign for Timberland Earthkeeper’s environmental activities and commitments to stakeholders. The campaign focused on consumers and influencers. This case study’s tactics could be adapted for CAEE to increase
The National Wildlife Federation calls attention to their concerns via their “Take Action” section of their website. Within the “Take Action” portion, the NWF, assists individuals in sending messages to their Senators and Representatives to voice their support of or their opposition of current directives at policy change effecting the
To make sure we are hitting these target groups, we will do several different types of surveys including mail-in, face-to-face, phone and web surveys. Though having so many platforms for these surveys can be costly, it will allow the Department to reach a broader audience across the state. The surveys will help to show deer hunters and the general public that Conservation is committed to helping slow the spread of CWD. The key message for the campaign will be spread through word-of-mouth, radio spots and news releases. To help disseminate this message a CWD media taskforce will be created, whose main goal is to spread the
The Midcoast Conservancy seems to truly understand the connection between healthy environment and healthy people. People and the environment are not individual entities. These two things are interconnected, and it is important that people are educated as to how and why we depend on the world around us and it depends on
Green promotion programs reflect communications designed to inform stakeholders about the firm’s efforts, commitment and achievements towards environmental preservation (Belz and Peattie 2009; Dahlstrom2011).
For this case study I am going to discuss 3 health promotions, the 3 health promotions I will be discussing are; obesity, exercise and smoking. All 3 of these health promotions are from a patient whose care I was involved with for a number of weeks. I have gained full consent from the patient and their relatives. In relation to the Data Protection Act 1998 (Legislation.gov.uk, 1988)
My BIO 2302-02 class was presented with the challenge to create Piedmont Environmental Alliance’s (PEA) new program. PEA is a volunteer-based non-profit group they have minimal staffing to make this request a reality. ¨The mission of Piedmont Environmental Alliance, Inc. (PEA) is to inspire people to make choices that protect and restore the environment.¨(1)They needed our help to develop their next environmental education program for deployment in local middle schools. This challenge would be one of the last determining factors for our final grade in the course.
Introduction to duty of care in health, social care or children’s and young people’s settings
One of the most important aspects of learning in the 21st century is technology. Therefore, I have a made it a priority to implement technology into the classroom. One way I implement technology in the classroom, is by setting up lines of communication with students, parents, and the community. There are numerous programs that I implement that allow parents to stay involved in their students learning. It also gives the students an opportunity to view assignments, submit assignments, and collaborate with me if needed. As a result, I am able to guide student learning outside the classroom. I have also incorporated sustainability into my unit plans and lessons. In Washington State, an environment and sustainability program is required. Therefore, during my teacher preparation program, I was required to implement sustainability applications into my
When I was five years old I began school. In Kindergarden we learned basic things like letters, numbers, and how not to be fully engulfed in flames. For some reason, 2004 was the height of anti-fire education in Missouri and before I knew how to tie my shoes I knew that if I ever was ablaze, to cover my face, fall to my knees, and roll back and fourth. This is what my institution placed serious value upon and because I was a student of that institution I also placed serious value upon it. The same idea must be applied to a university's teaching of environmental sustainability. This is discussed in David Orr's "What is Education For?" Through choosing a curriculum a university chooses what it places value onto, by making the environment a priority it showcases to the future generations that environmental wellness is an important responsibility for them to take ownership.
In late 1980s, in order to curve the increasing medical expenses, American government have launched case management. Case management not only effectively decreased the medical expenses, but also guaranteed the patients can get the necessary medical service they need. According to American Case Management Association, a non-profit organization that support the practice of case management, case management is "a collaborative process of assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination, evaluation, and advocacy for options and services to meet an individual’s and family’s comprehensive health needs through communication and available resources to promote quality cost effective outcomes”(ACMA, 2015). The personnels involve in the case management system are called case managers. Case manager is a professional with nursing qualifications holding a case load with responsibility for overseeing and/or delivering the processes of case finding, assessment, care delivery, monitoring and review for, and with, a patient and their family carer(s) (Goodman et al. 2010). Case management was first found in early twentieth century by social workers and public health nurses(Patricia, 2011). For this model, nurses, social workers, and other disciplines can work as case managers. However, in this article, I will focus on the nurse care case managers. In the Nursing case management model, all patients are assigned to a nurse case manager. For example, all the pediatric patients are assigned to
A case study is a specific instance that is frequently designed to illustrate a more general principle (Nisbet and Watt, 1984). Hitchock and Hughes (1995) further suggest that the case study approach is particularly valuable when the researcher has little control over evens. Case studies strives to portray ‘what it like’ to be a particular situation, to catch up reality and ‘thick description’ (Geertz, 1973) of participants’ lives experiences of, thoughts about and feelings for a situation. They involve looking at a case or phenomenon in its real-life context, usually employing many types of data (Robson, 2002). It is important in case studies for events and situations to be allowed to speak for themselves, rather than to be largely interpreted, evaluated or judged by the researcher. In this respect the case study is akin to the television documentary. Case studies can make theoretical statements, but, like other forms of research and human sciences, these must be supported by the evidence presented.

In reading the first article Coach Knight: The Will to Win, I found the article found Coach Knight to be very offensive and mean to his players. Coach Knight did not display good leadership skills. According to the article, Coach Knight’s drive and passion for excellence was not always received as well as his record of wins and losses Snook, Per low, Delacey, 2005).
This case study included information on a sample of fifty credit card accounts. This information, table one, included household size, annual income, and the amount charged to the account. Scatter plots of the data were produced. Figure one shows household size vs. amount charged. This graph shows that the positive linear relationship of the data is somewhat strong. The r squared is 0.56, analyzing the graph there is a correlation of household size to amount charged, but there is a range per household size.
