Executive summary
Ericsson is faced with a plethora of problems which are causing the destabilization of the company and resulting in irked employees and poor turn-around and delivery, which is causing it to lose its customers in the Asian and Pakistani region. Mainly, the most obvious of these problems are: Lack of human resources, gradually decreasing pay-scale and job uncertainty.
Our conclusion, that Ericsson will continue to lose customers and continue to suffer with poor services delivered and employee turn-around is followed by apt recommendations which Ericsson should take up as soon as possible. All this data up for analysis and recommendations have been collected, analysed and designed with first hand support from Ericsson’s own employees

What it should do is, adapt a policy where it needs to identify the departments where employees can be spared and where employees are needed.
• Secondly, again due to its international across the board, cost-cutting policy Ericsson has lowered its pay-scale for its technical employees who form the backbone of its operations. It naturally effects the performance of the employees and their motivation. Again, Ericsson should formulate a policy where it needs to identify employees who have hefty salaries which do not justify their scope of work and adjust the payscale for neglected employees accordingly.
• Thirdly, Ericsson employees are extremely de-motivated because of the upcoming Warid-Mobilink merger. Warid being Ericsson’s only customer, might not renew its contract beyond 2018 in the aftermath of the merger, which leaves employees hanging by the cliff-edge with regards to job security. This study has been conducted by this group as part of the final assignment, in order to better analyse and present the problems being faced by corporate sector companies and hindrances being faced by them in their smooth running. In-depth analysis presented in this report has been acquired first hand from an employee of the company under question, Ericsson, as per the requirement.
For those who are unfamiliar with Ericsson. They are a global leader in delivering ICT solutions. In fact, 40% of the world's mobile traffic is carried over Ericsson networks. Ericsson has customers in over 180 countries and comprehensive industry solutions ranging from Cloud services and Mobile Broadband to Network Design and Optimization.

It is clearly that the company is experiencing some growth; however, the management needs to find a solution to solve the arising issue where their employees are lacking of motivation in their job. However, the executive team’s decision to raise pay rates for its customer service staff and the vested profit-sharing plan does not improve the employees’ work performance or customers’ satisfaction.
Due to continuous innovation in technologies, cost of production has been reduced drastically and has caused the emergence of new devices in the global handset market and competition among companies have been increased heavily for survival. It has forced companies to change their business strategies. Few big companies acquired small companies to increase their market share, few followed a brand extension strategy by launching new products and hence increased their market penetration. For this reason, an integration between Microsoft and Nokia, two market leaders in their own rights, may create new opportunities to challenge the market.
