Just as in coaching with sports, coaching in the workplace empowers the individual so that they are performing at their best. As competition has increased in the corporate society, employers are struggling to find ways to keep their best employees.
One way that has caught on is to coach the employee instead of giving direct commands, allowing the learner to take the lead in their own progression. Research by the UK
Industry Society has shown that coaching is likely to become the “most sought-after management skill in the next decade.” (Duff)
So, how do you incorporate coaching into the workplace? An easy way to begin is to follow these three steps: recognize the employees likes and dislikes, verbalize by letting them know you

Reminding employees’ that true change rarely happens incrementally, dramatic and rapid shifts are usually necessary. For example, think getting into a very cold swimming pool. People who try to ease their way in, usually do not. Those who dive in actually get there. Change does not come naturally. What comes
“naturally” is what already exists. Encourage and reward people who think differently, who see possibilities, and who make new things happen.
The next time a difficult problem arises, hold a brainstorming session with your employees. By writing down all of the ideas and approaches offered, no matter how unlikely they sound, the leader can compare the benefits of each solution and rank them in terms of difficulty with the team. Break a time or resource consuming task or process performed in the workplace into steps. After evaluating each step with an eye toward making gains in efficiency, locate a department that performs tasks similar to those performed by you or your employees. Visit this department and discuss problems it has dealt with and how they were resolved. Use a contact person in this department when obstacles present themselves.

Maximise the performance of individuals which in turn will maximise the performance of the team.
When I think of coaching I think of practice planning, game planning, scouting strategizing of offense and defense, choosing my starters, little things like that. All of those ideas are valid, but that’s not the whole picture. There is a lot more to coaching than planning for a practice or a game. Many times a person who would like to coach an interschool athletic team has little or no preparation to teach sports skills and techniques. The only qualifications is often the person’s participation on his or her high school, college, or university’s team, coach of a community youth team or even perhaps as a professional player. While all that experience is valuable in one way or another, it does not constitute an adequate preparation for
I will inspire athletes to demonstrate good character. Sports do not have an influence on one’s character; however, coaches can strongly impact athletes’ character, both negatively and positively. For this reason, I will work to coach in ways that support the growth of athletes’ character and create learning opportunities and situations in which athletes can practice and learn from. As a coach, I will lead by example and demonstrate good character because actions speak louder than words. I will do this by embodying sportsmanship and respecting athletes, opponents, other coaches, and referees. I will also show this to athletes by respecting, caring, and being trustworthy. I will also lead by example by staying

So many Coaches have talent and dedication for what they do. I 'm proud to play for one that has a spectacular history of coaching. That coach is Dennis Lorio, who Graduated from LSU (Louisiana State University) with an economic degree and played baseball. “I love the intensity and the relationship in football” Coach Lorio explaining with a passionate expression. I can see it in his eyes that he is very dedicated and hardworking coach. As of now he is 62 years old and still willing to coach. “It’s not the same without coaching. The joy and the sorrow I feel during the season has been addicted to me. I’ve been in this game almost all my life and that is a very long time.”
For example, during writing tasks, rather than asking Connor to write a recount, he would be asked to only write the orientation. This would be broken down step by step into ‘when’, ‘who’, ‘what’ and ‘where’. To assist Connor to persist with more difficult tasks he is provided with constant feedback and encouragement to reinforce correct practice (Seely Flint et al., 2014; Woolfolk & Margetts, 2010). During cooperative learning activities Connor is paired with a supportive partner who can tutor, scaffold and extend him. The effectiveness of these strategies will be assessed through daily observations, analysis of Connor’s work and collection of checklists to see if they have been marked off properly.
A Coach is somebody who develops, improves or promotes changes in a persons ability and understanding. Coaches work with another person or a group of people and develops them as people using sport to progress them in their development. All coaches have certain responsibilities towards performers, their sport, their profession and themselves. Below I have identified what a coach may be required to fulfil.

A driving objective for a teacher is to affect students to advance their expertise in education by finding them the correct course. The teacher should promote positive motivation and inspiration by adhering to legislation and codes of practice which will increase every student’s focus in developing and bridging gaps to display eagerness towards a healthy broad mindset, creative thinking and brighter approach. Being a leader has many advantages and disadvantages. Could coaching an employee be helpful for all involved? What is coaching – “The coach works with the clients to achieve a speedy, increased and sustainable effectiveness in their lives and careers through focused learning. The coach’s sole aim is to work with the client to achieve all of the client’s potential-as defined by the client” The Coaching Manual Starr, J 2008.
Coaching, however challenging, is a great way to influence the lives of others while also building their character. For as long as there have been sports, there have been people teaching the sport to the players and making them better at it. Coaches must have certain qualities in order to obtain success. One must also look at a coach’s motivation for his job, his passion for what he does, his methods for coaching, and how he became a coach in order to fully understand him. There are many questions someone may want to ask a coach about his profession if they are interested in coaching. Some questions would include: Why did he choose this as a profession? How did he get into coaching? What does one have to do to get a job as a coach? How
