Collective impact allows organizations to come together to jointly define the problem and create a shared vision to resolve an outstanding issue. It brings people together in a structured way, to achieve social change. Collective impact can be helpful to organizations in bringing them together. The article use Strive as an example to define collective impact. Strive is about a group of community leaders who came together using collective approach to improve student achievement. They realized that fixing entire program is better and trying to fix a single thing. Collective impact allows organizations a chance to come together to define a problem and create a shared way to solve it. Collective impact has five conditions in order to have a collective success. These conditions are common agenda, shared measurement systems, mutually reinforcing activities, continuous communication, and backbone support organizations. (1) The common agenda allows people to have a common vision of change that the group wants and with this, they have to have a clear understanding of what the problem is and how they are going to solve it. (2) The share measurement systems is a way to agree on that the success will be measured and reported. (3) Mutually reinforcing activities is when different activities are assigned to each people and they are supported and encouraging each. (4) Continuous communication is important because it helps to build a rapport among themselves and others organizations and this might take some time because people need to know that they will be treated fairly and that their concerns will be taken into consideration.
