It is important to maintain a safe environment for students inside and outside of the classroom. My goal is to make sure that the children understand what being safe is. I make sure that they know how to play safe. All of the toys and the materials that the children use are safe. I make sure that there are no broken toys that may harm them around. The children along with me create the class rules. I make sure that the outlet plugs are in place and that the cabinets are secure. The children follow the classroom rules. I make sure that I supervise the children at all times. I also make sure that I observe the areas where they play, work, and eat. I make sure that shoes are tied. I make sure that
When you see a solider in his or her uniform, you are proud that they are serving this country to protect our freedom, securing our country, and defending democracy worldwide. The solider can come from different branches of the Military. The one you might be familiar with is the U.S. Army. These soldiers are well respected and prepared to serve our country whenever and wherever needed, combat-ready at all times, and trained to counter any threat, anywhere. In 2007, the United States Army department published a recruitment ad for U.S.
First of all, basic requirements must be met such as, age, certain level of education, aptitude, physical and character requirements. One must be the age of 18 to enlist alone but 17 year olds must have their parents’ consent. A high school diploma must have been earned as well as being a United States Citizen. Certain qualities such as mental preparedness, physical fitness, and readiness are all qualities a member must have to be successful. These qualities will help keep the member mentally stable and be able to handle stressful situations as well as be ready to report for any military assignment. The last but most definitely not least requirement is passing of the ASVAB test. The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery is an academic, timed test meant to gauge the ability to learn a new profession usually made available to all high school juniors. The score received on the ASVAB is the percentage of the people that the test taker has done better on the test than. For example, scoring a 61 would mean the test taker was more successful on the test than 61% of the people that have already taken the ASVAB. It’s all a huge competition to see who qualifies for the harder jobs. In order to pass the test a 32 is required and a perfect score would be a 99. Unfortunately, the ASVAB is just one loop that must be jumped through. (AFBMT)

As I have begun to better understand helping skills this semester I find myself frequently looking back to the helping skills model you provided in class. During one of our first few weeks of class, I printed out the model and taped it to the wall in my office. While I don’t look at it every day or carry it in my pocket as I interact with students, it sits quietly in the back of my mind. It serves as a small reminder to generally follow an outline but create my own style as I learn to become a better helper. For the purpose of this final exam, I have chosen to break down the model and discuss my strengths and weaknesses, where I want to improve, and insights I have discovered while establishing my own version of the helping model this semester.
The study skills checklist assessment identified that time scheduling (spending too much time on social activities, concentration (studying with the T.V. on), listening and note taking (not reviewing my class notes periodically), reading (not picking out what’s important in the text and cramming my writing assignments), as well as testing a exams (losing a lot of points, not studying enough, then studying in a disorganized way) are all the areas of concern for me, which were deemed the most problematic.
It was my experience with time, more so the lack of that guided me towards one of the most critical turning points in my life. Before my great grandmother succumbed to her death, I found myself putting off spending time with my family and taking advantage opportunities that I was given. From this experience I have been able to grow further into a more self aware individual which has assisted me in learning many new elements within myself and the world around me. Although death may be recognized as a tragedy I have been able to turn this particular situation into a learning experience where I believe not only myself, but my friends and family as well will benefit from the outcomes. The days leading up to my grandmother's death were filled

After taking the O*NET Interest Profiler test on the My Next Move website, I was fitted for several jobs based on my personality and interests. After looking through the suggested jobs, I found two that would fit me best. The first job I was interested in is a buying and purchasing agent for farm products. Out of all the suggestions O*NET gave, this was one I felt not only fit my skills the most, but also my personality.
