The heart of the moral reasoning process is mainly found in the analysis part of the formula. This is also where values and principles are found being against each other. Moral duties and loyalties and external factors are defined in this stage. The last and final part of the formula consists of rendering the moral decision. This is where the moral agent makes judgment and defends it. In this stage of the model is where the model agent weighs the competing values and principles, the impact of the factors that are found outside of the dilemma. In my own point of view of what I think critical thinking means is a guide to make a logical decision based on a number of variables such as factual evidence and credible resources that can create valid statements behind the action of thought process including being open-mindedness and demonstrating the differences of valid evidence and assuming to make and communicate their point of view to be understood by the others in a conversation.
Critical thinking has an important role in learning and development because if properly executed it allows me to see the entire situation instead of the individual task. I plan to take the necessary actions to determine the task with open eyes and an unbiased approach. Remembering the facts about the situation can help in resolving the issue. Understanding by reiterating the problem can help me further comprehend. Applying then analyzing the tasks and or situations so I can prepare the steps to come to the evaluation. I can see if the resources are accurate and thorough. The last thing I should be able to do to assure my critical thinking skills are complete is a form of creating. I take all the information of this situation, and use it in my final resolution. These steps are crucial in the ability to think clearly and not be clouded by biased information.

While in middle school and high school, many of our teachers use to teach us about adolescents and warn us about our hormones and sex, but they never really touch on the topic about our mental change and how moral reasoning would change in such an unnoticeable manner. I honestly believed that I still had the same mind set from high school, until I learned about moral reasoning and watch the video of the three different age groups and it showed each mind set and their moral reason for the situation that was given. After watching that video, I reflected on the memories of middle and high school and realized, that I made a lot of dumb choices that I’m not proud of.
This research focuses on the importance of moral behavior and its relations with critical thinking. In order to do this I chose to view a certain situation that occurred and had the qualities to prove and discuss my main topic. I chose to use a recent story that occurred during the 2016 NFL Draft, in which a player by the name Laremy Tunsil was publicly humiliated due to him going against his moral behavior. His agent, family, and himself all had to find a way to quickly and critically think how to fix their problem. Through social media and television Mr. Tunsil found himself defending his moral behavior and redeeming himself in order to be drafted.
Our ethical beliefs can affect our critical thinking, which should be used on a regular basis to help us grow both personally and professionally. And as we progress through our different professional fields we must not lose sight of our ethical responsibilities but this does not need to be at odds with critical thinking which is defined as; “disciplined thinking that is clear, rational, open-minded, and informed by evidence”.
