For my multidisciplinary psychological treatment center, the setting will be large yet calm and homey place. This is so the client feels comfortable and safe when coming in for treatment. The treatment center will be around three stories big. The first floor will be the lobby, waiting room, and daycare. I will be dedicating an entire floor to this because, in my opinion, cramped and small waiting rooms can make a client more nervous and anxious than they initially were coming in to the building. The lobby will be where the patients/clients check in for the clients. I will have two receptionists to make sure that lines do not get to long and any phone calls are answered in a timely manner. Making the clients wait just to get into the …show more content…
It was not very pretty scene to watch. I believe that having daycare will attract more clients, especially the ones who have kids or are planning on having kids someday soon. The second floor will be dedicated to the traditional practice that is going to be featured at my treatment center, which includes a professional counselor. I will recruit around six counselors. They will be split up into groups of two, and each of the three groups will specialize in something different to increase the diversity of the services offered at my multidisciplinary psychological treatment center. The counselors will share an office and working space. I will make sure that the counselors themselves are ethnically and culturally different. I will do this so I can ensure that each counselor will approach a patient with a different approach instead of them doing everything exactly alike. I believe that the key to a well-working and successful treatment center is diversity. The third floor will be where the nontraditional practices are located. The floor will be divided in half; one side for the massage therapists and one side for personal trainers. I will have at least two personal trainers and three massage therapists.
The types of disciplines I plan on having at my multidisciplinary

A mental health counselor is a counseling professional, whose duties involves helping individuals cope with difficult life events, managing mental illnesses, and referring patients to additional resources that can help them. Before they can start counseling, they need to follow their states specific requires. For instance, in Louisiana, one has to obtain a master’s degree from an accredited program, have the required hours of supervised practice and coursework, and pass the National Counselor Examination to be licensed and certified. In addition to receiving a license in this field, an individual has to complete an addition 40 hours of continuing education every year to renew their license. The Mental Health Counseling program, offered at Capella, would satisfy most, if not all, of the licensure requirements in Louisiana.
I am currently an owner/ director of a childcare center. God’s Individuals (Gigi’s) Clubhouse is the name of the childcare. The childcare operated out of my home. Running a childcare center consist of making decision as a manger and a leader. The childcare consists of 27 children as of now. We are always looking for children who are in need of a homely childcare environment. Gigi’ clubhouse came about some years ago due to the fact so; many children were getting hurt in a childcare center environment. So, as an early childhood educator I decided to make the childcare center like little cottages and use the Montessori method and
The facility that I worked in specialized in dementia care, which means that all of the residents had some form of dementia, the most common type being Alzheimers. In the building that I worked in we had around 30 residents. They were separated into what we called neighborhoods, which were really just hallways. There were approximately 10 residents in each neighborhood and there were always 2 CNA’s for every neighborhood. We had a dining room, and a living area in every neighborhood. There was a neighborhood in each corner of the building. They were joined by larger hallways and two large sitting areas at the front and the back. We called the sitting area in the back the “Great Room”, this was where many residents would spend lots of time playing games, watching movies, singing, and doing various other activities.
As an employee, I would like to institute an in-house day-care center. Employees feel an in-house day-care center would be beneficial to the company. Currently, employees spend more time dropping off and picking up children than doing their job. Employees collectively have a total of 18 preschool children and their families continue to grow. The purpose of this memo is to propose an in-house day-care center. In order to gain approval for an in-house day-care center, consider the following: 1) benefits, 2) regulations, 3) requirements, 4) finances, 5) tasks and 6) exposure.
Before a client session starts it is important to make sure that the facilities and environment are chosen carefully. The practice room should be safe, clean
Therapeutic communities childcare: this is an approach that meets both the the physical and emotional needs of the service users.
In the United States the Mental Health Care field is one of the most underserved areas of healthcare. The mental healthcare field faces many challenges to the proper treatment of patients from both a societal and professional standpoint. From a societal perspective a negative stereotype is associated with patients seeking psychiatric care. Patients seeking care are often labeled as defective or damaged. Add in the complication that most patients with mental illness appear to be normal, accepting that someone is ill without outward symptoms can also be difficult for a society to understand. From a professional perspective the challenges within the mental health care industry include personal prejudice, staffing issues, and problems with coordinating care. The combination of these factors has a direct negative impact on the willingness of individuals suffering from mental illness in seeking the care needed to treat the symptoms of mental illness.
Designing a facility and the departments contained within it is a daunting task in the beginning. Research and planning are key steps that must be well thought out and executed for the most return on the space. Space is a high premium for hospital organizations that are looking to expand their impact on the community they serve. Whether the organization is looking to refurbish an existing space, build new construction, or possibly a combination of the two, proper skill and understanding of space design is essential to utilizing the available resources and financing.

. The daycare and child development business is booming and profits are soaring. With more people looking at the child care field from different angles, these type of programs have more opportunities for more allies and partners, for funding and positive public relations, for improving, and “professionalizing” the programs that we offer to our children in our communities. Non-profit groups and higher education have increasingly partnered with schools, often including after-school hours.
The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of the counseling profession and its ability to work on cases in multidisciplinary teams. A variety of scholarly journal articles were taken into account in order to gain insight into the field of counseling and some of its specializations. For this paper, the focus was, aside from general counseling, on marriage and family therapy as well as addiction counseling.
While there are some caregiver’s that are only in the human service field to earn a paycheck and with the lack of parental involvement in their child’s life, it can make a caregiver’s job more challenging. Daycare centers serve as a stepping stone for a child’s future that will teach them how to establish appropriate skills and aid in the development of their cognitive abilities. Positive child interactions not only aid in the development of social and cognitive development, but also in the child’s self-esteem and it lets them know they are important and loved.
Conversely, upon doing the volunteer work, I came to find out that the center is not a daycare at all. People confuse it with a daycare because young children stay here while parents and families attend work or school. The center is different from a daycare because there is a curriculum and the staff are teachers. They must obtain a Child Development Credential within one year of hire and must keep up with a personal developmental ladder. The teachers are certified or trained in CPR, first aid, intruders, safety procedures and child abuse and neglect.
