A Series of Unfortunate Events On a chilly Wednesday on January 14 of the year 1998, I, an eight pounds, six ounces baby, was born. My mom and dad were in bed at ten the night before, and it was decided that the time was now, for her water broke and they were on their way to the hospital. I was dark haired and brown eyed, and my mom wanted to name me after her, but dad decided on the name Jolene, with a pronunciation twist and his own spelling. Along with other things, the value of a dollar has also gone up. If I had bought something worth $10 back then today it would be $14.49. Sadly on the list of prices that have gone up, we also have our national debt. In 1998 it was around five trillion dollars, and now it’s about a whopping 18 trillion (“US Debt
