I bolted out of my bed and ran outside to see what the cause was for all of the commotion. Although my eyes were still adjusting to the sudden change in light, I could still see what was going on. My heart sunk. The savages were finally arriving, those horned spawns of hell. They must have used a shortcut, or the winds were in their favor. We were all expecting them to make landfall later this week, at the least. I rushed to put on my battle garments and armor. I had never felt so energetic in my two decades of living. I got on my horse, who was already yearning to run, and pushed him to go as fast as he could toward the area of commotion. It only seemed like a few clicks before I realized I arrived. I could then see everything that was occurring. Hundreds of ships close to shore, trebuchets firing projectiles, and hundreds upon hundreds of my fellow men getting into battle formations. "Knights! Rally!" yelled one of our superiors, after which he blew a horn and all of the men arrived in what seemed like a minute. Those dragon-shaped ships were beginning to make landfall, with hundreds of troops getting off and stepping onto our beloved land. I looked at my crucifix my mother gave me, while thinking of her. I then looked up with the rage of Hell itself and held up my sword in perfect stance. All of my fellow knights joined me in the stance. We would not let those savage beasts raid this great land.
