Before the writer shift started, the evening Staff informed the writer that, Dequan and Stephen were going at each other verbally and physically. Approximately 10:20pm, the writer went outside to have a conversation with DN about the situation, and was asked to report any possible situations with other youths to staff, if there is any. The writer also did the same with Stephen. Around 11:40pm, DN and SB got into verbal altercation, where both youths were going into one another’s space. At this time, writer tried to re-direct both youths verbally, but was unsuccessful. The writer warned both not to go physically, or it would be discharged for both, since both were getting closer and not listening to redirections.
