In my opinion, there is more than one problem at WCBA. One of the problems is that the students chosen to work at the radio station are not properly prepared to perform some of the duties. It’s clear that the students lack experience and training. Although the students appear to be enthusiastic about working at the radio station and eager to learn, they are given too much autonomy prior to gaining a certain level of experience to sufficiently execute what is expected of them. There should be a gradual progression into certain levels of responsibilities.
Another problem is that Anne Caldera,

Another tool that Ann should implement is continuous training. To ensure that the radio station reduces infractions and remains compliant with the rules and regulations of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), in-depth training should be provided that outlines the Commission’s enforcement procedure and provide general guidance to promote compliance with FCC rules. Students should be instructed on consequences and provided with a list of potential enforcement actions and identify common FCC enforcement proceedings brought against FCC licensees.

Communicate is essential in health and social care settings because without a good communication to patients, families, colleagues and management is very difficult to deliver good service of care.
Another challenge to effective communication is part time employment. Waiting for a response to something urgent, when the person concerned is not back at work for 2 days is frustrating. It also means effective handover periods and staff communication is essential.
Communication is the way we portray and process our thoughts. This could be through speech, messages, telephone, email, sign language, body language, facial expressions and all of which are equally as effective and nurtured to each recipient. Within our nursery setting we firstly communicate through posters and hand-outs (prospectuses) that you receive upon first entry of the nursery. We have a mission statement clearly written on the wall for people to read as they come in and a code of conduct for people to follow.
The FCC has been monitoring large radio stations throughout the country for a long time now. This organization is a seven part group which is all run by Frank R. McNinch, who used to be the chief of the Federal Power Commission (Rockwell 217). This organization is primarily a licensing and monitoring assembly, which has technical regulatory powers. The licenses they give out are only valid for a period of time, and then must be renewed. These licenses decide the power and coverage the station has to broadcast on (Rockwell 218). These guidelines are very strictly enforced by the FCC because of how the public has reacted to some of the situations that have occurred. The FCC has also created criteria which has a “public mandate” that they are instituting into
These officers will undoubtedly need training, but training is something that can extend to all members of staff. The communication of our plans cannot be ignored if we provide training to enforce understanding. It is vital that the members of our group understand why they are expected to follow the compliance plan. We should aspire to have our staff feel as though they are actively involved and trusted by the company. Education is the best way to provide comfort in carrying out our policies.
The new advances in technology allow businesses to reach different customer bases. This includes buying and selling products over the Internet. The online shopping process is considered e-commerce. E-commerce is made up of different behaviors but for the purpose of this discussion the three discussed are consumer-to-consumer (C2C), business-to-business (B2B), and consumer-to-business (C2B). The different behaviors have different mediums to reach their targeted audience. The message for each behavior persuades a particular audience to purchase a product using that particular medium. Consumers and businesses look to the web for cost-effective ways to sell and buy products.
Effective communication is paramount when developing positive relationships with everyone we come across, whether it is a child, young person or adult. For children and young people it is very important that we use effective communication to help them learn and grow, the way we talk to children and young people and what we do with the information we gain from listening to their needs will have a huge impact on their learning experience. It is also important for the safety and wellbeing of children and young people we work with, we need to take any information given and use it to protect them whether they tell us something is wrong or there are other signs i.e tone of voice and body language, its important we know. How we communicate differs
Effective communication is a conversation where everyone involved in the conversation understands and doesn’t get confused by each overs meaning. An effective conversation can also mean all information has been transferred by voice to another person successfully. Effective communication in health and social care is crucial, this is because it allows health care workers to perform their job role effectively in the workplace as users of the service and people who work for the service (police, paramedics, care workers, doctors and nurses) all come from different backgrounds and cultures. Clear communication is very important between colleagues, it’s important for all colleagues to have a clear understanding of each over this is to ensure that
Unfortunately, there has been an increase in violations over the past few semesters, despite Zina’s efforts to properly train her on air staff as thoroughly as possible, they continue to ignore these FCC
The Office of Inspector General was set under the Inspector General Act of 1978(Public law 95-452) and established in March 29, 1989 to provide independent and objective audits, investigations and reviews of the FCC operations and programs. The inspector general therefore pioneers the detection and prevention of fraud, waste and abuse in FCC’s operations and programs. The reports and finds of the investigations, audits and reviews are compiled semi annually by the Inspector General and presented to the chairman and the United States Congress. These reports are a source of information to the chair, commissioners and United States congress on the deficiencies and general operation of the FCC. The FCC chair supervises the
In writing it’s important to have an understanding of what you’re trying to convey for your audience in addition to how you you will present your ideas. Effective communication extends beyond having well organized writing expressed in complete and coherent sentences. The style, tone and clarity of writing must also be considered, as they are constantly changing relative to the audience. Again, analyzing one’s audience and purpose is essential to successful writing. Appropriately, when choosing the most effective language, it is important to consider the document objective as well as the reader. In essence, this idea of effective use of language has been the overarching theme of this online English course. Each writing assignment
Through the Federal Communications Commission, all stations are to be licensed and maintain a file that documents what the station has done to operate in the public interest. There are also radio regulations that help to make this possible. The Radio Regulations is an intergovernmental treaty. It conforms and coordinates the activity of the telecommunication networks. It keeps different frequences from different radio services from mixing together. Transmitters are to be observed by radio stations, and procedures are done to ensure technical compatibility. It basically helps to better the development of communications technology. These regulations are accomplished through the International Telecommunications Union (ITU).
After watching the video lecture and reading the supplemental articles I became increasingly interested in the policies of the Federal Communications Commission and how they relate to topics such as children’s programming, indecent content on the airwaves, and Net neutrality. I want to speak more in depth about the three and how the FCC is regulating each policy.
Secondary research is the process of searching published reports, articles, and books for information other people have collected.
Persuasion is described as the deliberate process that intends to change an individual’s attitudes, behaviours or beliefs from their previous initial views and ways of behaving in society. Persuasive communication is widespread and evident all around us, including in central areas of politics, marketing and media. Burkholder et al’s (2003) findings support the idea that there are cultural differences evident in the effectiveness of persuasion, in which they found that shortly after the end of the Iraq war, surveys indicated that although Americans favoured the use of military action against Iraq by 2:1, Europeans opposed it by the same margin. There are four key factors that help influence persuasion amongst the masses, depending on their
