1.introduction
Globalization has become the decisive process of the present age (Sparks, 2007). Economic globalization has alleviated the long-term tensions in North-South relations, and the scale and degree of economic exchanges between the North and the South have become more unprecedented. Energy is crucial for economic and social development, but the world energy system is at a crossroads. The current global trends in energy supply and consumption are clearly unsustainable in environmental, economic and social terms (IEA, 2008: 37ppt). Therefore, under the influence of globalization, the energy systems of various countries may change. But globalization is a broad definition of which has different manifestations. Under the influence of

The countries of the Global South have great influence in the fields of geopolitics and cultural and economic exchanges. While political, social and economic turmoil is prevalent in the countries of the South, at the same time the population of the Global South and its emerging markets offers great promise for economic growth, investment and cultural contribution. (Kaul, 2013) However, the countries of the South and the North have received different treatment in globalization. The developed countries are able to formulate their own policies with fewer interventions and exert pressure on other developing countries so that the developed countries can have more say in the international community. (Bartelson, 2000). Developing countries have hardly made their own decisions. This forces them to adopt policies set by other entities, so in most cases they can not adopt. The influx of capital and the influx of huge amounts of funds have hampered the power to control the global economic powers. Global institutions have become major policymakers, and most southern countries are forced to comply with established standards. Due to the asymmetrical status, the countries in the southern hemisphere are impacted by the multiple structures of global economy and politics. Its consequences have been significantly reflected in the Global Southern energy system

Definition of globalisation is the increasing in the communication of countries which results from trading and cultural exchange. In this eassay I will be researching about the positives and negatives about globalisation.
The business world is becoming increasingly global. As a result of this, many companies, such as Costa Coffee and Dyson, have changed their strategies in relation to the markets they target or where they produce. Does the increasingly global nature of business mean that all organisations need to change their strategies significantly to achieve higher profits? Justify your answer with reference to Costa Coffee, Dyson and/or other organisations that you know.
Is the increasing globalization of business good or bad for the United States? If you are from a different country, what effect do you think globalization is having or will have on your country? Is globalization resulting in unequal gains for different countries?
Over the course of history, domestic politics have been shaped by international forces. Forces like war and trade; empire and colonies; migration and the spread of ideas. Globalization and Neoliberalism plays an important role in impacting politics in all states. “Globalization is a system in which human beings are no longer part of isolated communities that are linked through narrow channels of diplomatic relations of trade”(O’Neil,2017, pg.346). Globalization creates a division between international relations and domestic politics. When globalization makes a distinction, then the aspects of domestic politics are controlled by global forces. Globalization changes the institutions of economics, politics, and society. The institutions are measure by space and time of social norms, culture, boundaries. The boundaries create a local identity and control (particularly-“state, religion, or set of cultural values holds sway over the land and here but not there.”)(O’Neil, 2015, pg.348). Furthermore, political isolation becomes impossible to happen.
The economic dependence between nations worldwide occurs due to Globalization. Throughout the centuries, nations would not be as powerful as they are in the present day without the help of globalization. Communication started the first form of globalization. People of different cultures shared ideas with each other, which influenced many more. Spanish conquistador, Hernán Cortés explained in Approaching Tenoctitlán, “I further made the chief understand that all the people [should] protect their lives as well as their property, and…they were adore to adore but one God”. The Spaniards were shocked to find the Indians to be uncivilized, so they had spread their own ideas of setting laws and religion. The Spaniards also offered help to protect
Globalization could be defined as “the interaction of people, states, or countries through the growth of the international flow of money, ideas, and culture.”. The effect globalization has on history is enormous. Without the migration aspect of globalization there would be no culture mix, no economics since no one would be trading, or no politics without the migration of cultures or opinions. Globalization is the basis of why we have history.
Globalization is taking place across the world where people can either become globalization or stay local in the state or country. People are very controversial about globalization helping local economies and local businesses. Some people believe globalization is helping local businesses into the markets and then there are some that believe that multinational corporations hurting the local small businesses. What is globalization? “the development of an increasingly integrated global economy marked especially by free trade, free flow of capital, and the tapping of cheaper foreign labor markets” (). Globalization has started long before we were born.
‘How has Globalization shaped Energy Systems in Emerging Economies and the Global South? Illustrate your answer in reference to your chosen case study country.’
Globalization has impacted the world because of population growth and the stresses of income from importing, exporting, trading resources, and the foreign policy leverages that governments adopt. Geopolitics has contributing factors that has enhance its transition through time. The alliances with growing nations, new deals with old allies, the strategy to support poor nations and exploit the strategic locations, threats to infrastructures, and the energy uses, are all contributors of globalization and the geopolitics of today (lecture 2). The circumstances surrounding geopolitics and great powers are linked to globalization; it is not rendering nations to become obsolete, only to become more ambitious.
The rise of the western world and capitalism has given shape to the worlds’ economy, politics, and culture, forever changing the way of human society. Business became an integral part of society, providing goods and services to those who could otherwise not be able to obtain them. Businesses interests over the years has spurred innovation and progress. But it would be irresponsible to believe that all business is good. Over the course of history there have been myriad examples of corporations manipulating and exploiting unsuspecting consumers for monetary gain.
Over the previous years, worldwide administration and globalization and the connection between the two, has turned into a much talked about subject. There are different meaning of worldwide administration; its part, its tendency. In like manner, there are much more definitions with respect to globalization. There are a few strands of master which differ on when the starting points are traceable, going even a great many years and, also, some separate a scope of independent fields to distinguish particularly the idea of globalization amid time.
Globalisation is considered one of the greatest milestones that have happened to the world. Before 25 years or so, no one imagines that s/he can buy a shirt or even a mobile cover from a different country by their selves and it will be shipped in few days. Although the term globalisation is founded in the nineteenth century, the application of this concept become obvious and widely use in the last 25 years (Dicken, 2007). The next section of this report defines globalisation term. In addition, the third section mentions some of the positive and negative impacts of globalisations. The fourth section discusses the impacts of globalisation on how business operates. Finally, the last section concludes the report.
Traditional businesses have changed since the world became globalized, modern businesses therefore need to adapt themselves to survive in new environment such as increase in international trade. Generally, globalization allows businesses to expand across the world and this means that businesses are more likely to invest in foreign countries or to employ some workers from overseas by liberalizing employee mobility. It is evident that globalization not only provide employment with wage system to improve labour standard but also increase investment and funding into global economy to improve host countries, namely, the liberalization from globalization creates employment across the world and amends the quality of jobs by prescribed minimum labour wages to protect a 'race to bottom' which can be defined as a circumstance which enables companies to gain a profit from low-wage workers with poor working conditions, whereas, the international source from foreign investors will stimulate economy in host countries to raise wealth and to urge local businesses to become international companies. The essay will primarily discuss the employment aspect of globalization and also explore the perspective of labour wage in the global societies and then look at the topic of investment and funding.
Driven by trade and investment, and aided by technology, globalization has massive effects on the environment, human rights, and human health. Globalization is defined as the process of integration and interaction among people and companies of different nations. Considering its total impact, globalization benefits thriving nations while leading to the suffering of developing countries, despite the promise of prosperity and growth. Moreover, globalization comes at great costs to the environment. Because of conspicuous consumption associated with globalization, there is overexploitation of land for natural resources, excessive burning of fossil fuels, and excessive waste to the point that only 1% of products consumed in the US are not disposed of within 6 months. Globalization has also caused human rights violations. Many corporations have accusations against them for social injustices against workers with unfair working conditions and wages. Examples of these human rights violations can be found in sweatshops that are used by many companies from Walmart to Hanes . Notably, globalization has caused many human health issues. An example of health risks is reflected in the widespread accessibility and use of tobacco that has caused a rise in a variety of respiratory illnesses. The World Health Organization estimates that 10 million people a year will die over the next two
The effect globalization has on the slums, informal settlements, and poverty in Cairo takes on more specific forms as seen by the impact privatization has on industries that are key sources of income for many. The Zabaleen, who live in makeshift settlements on agricultural land at the western and northern fringes of Cairo metropolitan region, have been the traditional garbage collectors and recyclers in Cairo for decades (Fahmi, 2005). It is estimated in 1997, the Zabaleen collected up to 3,000 tonnes of garbage every day on average, with “85 percent being recycled directly through micro-enterprises that generated jobs and incomes for the local community” (Fahmi, 2005). This system of collection makes up the livelihoods for many of the families over the course of generations. However, the Zabaleen’s “small scale, family owned businesses of door-to-door collection and recycling have been officially perceived as lacking modern equipment and hygienic practices” (Fahmi & Sutton, 2006). Instead, as a result of Cairo reaching out internationally and seeking multi-national partnerships with the technology-intensive waste management corporations, the Zabaleen risk losing their way of life and source of income (Fahmi, 2005). Having their jobs being taken up by foreign companies would be devastating to the already struggling Zabaleen. As Fahmi and Sutton (2006) state, the authorities do not intend to compensate them for these changes and transition to a more technologically intensive
