Nursing is a field that demands for an individual is willing to go beyond professional boundaries when necessary. In the present age, the nursing profession needs to compete to develop themselves and the profession to be able to gain respect and higher level of standard for the profession. Responsibility and role of nursing professionals becoming highly challenging and more refined because of the global health care is evolved rapidly thus nursing professionals have to be more accountable and indirectly involved in the process of decision making ( Holder and Schenthal 2007 ). Giving power or autonomy to the senior staff in this important task will make the senior staff nurse feel accountability and gain respect from the junior nurses. According to Wegner et al (2010), the junior nurses will respect the senior nurses if the senior nurse were given the power which will create a positive attitude and environment.
