Brief Introduction of Charles Frederick Worth
Charles Frederick Worth, one of the most influential fashion gurus in the 19th century, born on 13 October 1825 and died on 10 March 1895, experienced the most fast developing fashion industry evolution in Europe, before the era of tremendous prosperous fashion industry boom in the second half of 19th century in Europe, especially in Paris, France (Joseph, 2014). Worth created the promotion method to exhibition new clothes by choosing pretty girls in his studio to wear to show to customers. By this way, he created the new exhibition method, which is popular in all of the major metropolitans world widely and welcomed by both the major fashion giants and ordinary people. This show also created a new career, the fashion model. He is also the first person who created and completed the whole Paris fashion industry prototype; to handle all the process of cloth making and sales by one studio, from selecting cloth material, designing, cutting and seaming, and timely exhibition his own work by fashion models to customers. By sewing his band the clothes, he also created the concept of brand. He was the first designer to sell design to the United States and the United Kingdom apparel manufacturers.
