Tracy, Since joining Methodist Olive Branch Hospital, I was introduced to the one-on-one meetings you referred to in your post. Every other week my director meets with me to have an open and honest dialogue about my department, the facility, and sometimes personal if she notices or suspects distractions within my performance. These meetings are beneficial because it helps to build respect and trust between the manager and employee (Cobb, 2014). By discussing difficult issues that may have happened or utilized the moment for a coaching opportunity, one-on-one meetings communicates that the manager cares about the employee. Besides creating respect between manager and employee, these meetings (mine are referred to as check-ins) help build
The purpose of regular staff meetings helps an organisation become much more organised and efficient and places both employees and managers on the same page, it makes it easier to establish roles and collaborates to finish projects and achieve goals. There is many different types of meetings, there could be a one 2 one meeting that you have with a manager or line manager where you get feedback on what you have been doing and how you are coping with the work load you have, you could talk about changing systems in the workplaces to make it more efficient for everyone or it could about you want to leave the job you are in and you and the people within your meeting are trying to find a solution to make you feel happier within the work place. It could be to discuss any problem you are having or whether you have seen something that someone else has done and it is not making you feel very comfortable and it’s not suitable for a workplace.
At regular resident meeting we discuss a range of topics and the residents say what they want in the way of activates, dinner and other things. During this discussion we may talk about health issues and possible ways of dealing with them. Also I have general talks with management and colleagues and we discuss our feeling regarding raising awareness or if we may need extra training in certain areas.
It is an opportunity for an employee to respond to any issues discussed and to request any development requests they may have or any suggestions to improve the department or team. It also gives the employee a chance to feedback to the manager any concerns or issues they may have about the way they are being managed.
Conducting regular face to face meetings with all involved in the care of an individual can also help to improve partnership working. This helps to keep everyone up to date and allows for discussions to be made.

APS Supervisor Matthew Mitchell made face to face contact with Mr. Charles Hamilton at the Intermediate Care Unit of Walker Baptist Medical Center on 7/17/15 at roughly 10:30 AM. Before visiting with Mr. Hamilton in his room, Mitchell spoke with Ginger Kilgore, RN Case Manager, in her office. She stated that Mr. Hamilton was ready for discharge. She admitted that the hospital was aware Mr. Hamilton’s home in Carbon Hill was currently without electricity and water, but that no alternative placement could be found, nor would Mr. Hamilton agree to discharge anywhere but his residence. Ms. Kilgore also mentioned that Dr. Claude Osula admitted Mr. Hamilton into their care a few days ago due to low potassium levels. He noted in his discharge summary
Tulsa Memorial Hospital (TMH) is one of the nine acute care hospitals that serves in the general population area. Historically, it has been highly profitable due to its well-appointed facilities, excellent medical staff, good-standing reputation for quality care and its ability to give individual attention for each of its patients. The hospital, in addition to its inpatient services, operates an emergency department and an urgent care center located two miles from the hospital across the street from a major shopping mall.
The purpose of holding a meeting is to discuss topics that are relevant to the running of the business and to keep all working together towards the same goals. During the meeting it is important to record what actions have been decided upon, who is responsible and what the milestones and deadlines are. The minutes accurately record summaries of the discussions held and decisions made at the meeting.
I observed how the flash meeting is when health care professionals from multidiscipline join together to hear the patient’s perspective on the quality of their care and treatment they are experiencing. I witness one young man who was diagnose with bipolar manic stage spike some when talking to the doctor and he became passive aggressive. Treatment team meeting occurs every day in the morning at 8:00. The health care professional consisting of two doctors, which one is a psychiatrist, two license practical counselors, three nurses, two licensed clinical social workers, medical students and of course social work students. In everyone’s lifetime career they may end up in some company with politics and bickering. A meet and greet give them time to interact with one another to get to know each other backgrounds so that when they do come into work, they won 't be a stranger to one another. This way they know each other 's names and the can communicate and work in a harmonious way on the line and on time for delivery. This will also elicit active employee inputs for improvement with their suggestions on how they can make the plant work better. By increasing communication at all levels in the organization the worker’s participation becomes effective in increasing productivity and quality of products.
The credential professional I interviewed was Heather Romero who is a Patient Care Coordinator at Lovelace Hospital. I am very interested in holding a position as a Patient Care Coordinator after graduation. After interviewing this individual I am eager to pursue this as a career path and feel it would be a good fit for me in the future. I am also thinking of changing my major to Nursing because the degree I am pursing right now might not be a good fit for a Patient Care Coordinator. I have prepared ten questions that I wanted to ask Heather Romero about the healthcare field I was interested in.

This encourages them to interact with other employees that carryout similar duties as a given employees, and/or with an employee that they normally would not interact with. Informal teams meetings can be encouraged to offer training camps and to discuss new ideas and improvements that can be made on the job. By allowing “social interaction, employees begin to feel that they are a part of a team.”(Davidson 2005 p.307)
