Three of us from the group were able to make the trip to Au Gres to conduct an interview and take a tour of the facility to gather any information that would help us with the human resource topics that we have chosen. All of these employees are scheduled due to their schedules and what works best for them. They have a very effective scheduling plan for each and every employee that has been working great for the past few years. The assistant golf professional works on the scheduling for the facility for the outside operations staff, the player assistants (rangers), and the maintenance staff. The food and beverage manager does the scheduling for all the kitchen and food and beverage operation employees. Another one is that they focus on projecting mass revenue projections on all peak times during the season. The main goal of the facility was to always stay within the budget seeing how they have recently had to work with a budget that was somewhat tight compared to what they have been used to going off of. All of these goals and objectives have been going as planned with the facility and been working well with all staff and
This can lead to: lack of concentration, interview lasting longer or be terminated, which can result in unreliable answers. To possibly avoid these I could: go in a quiet room, allow extra time and avoid sensitive questions. I will be doing interviews with teachers that teach visually impaired children rather than the child because the child may feel uncomfortable talking one-to-one with an unknown adult and yet I can still get the answers needed through the
Each part of the facility has it’s own distinct attitude. There’s a golf simulation section where customers can choose between 9 different upscale courses. They even sit in a clubhouse-like section when waiting for their next shot. The entire operation of the golf simulator is so successful it is necessary for the customer to make a tee time 1 to 2 days in advance.

When becoming a golf professional you need to fill many shoes throughout your career. Some can be teachers who instruct golf players on their swing and the mental side of golf. Golf professionals must be able to work with salespeople, groundskeepers and maintenance workers effectively. One of the major attributes that a golf professional must possess is the ability to work with people. Golf professionals also help operate the business side of the course, manage employees, purchase merchandise to sell and oversee maintenance at course. They must also be able to work with the public, helping them with their golfing needs and teaching them the correct way to play the game. They are also required to be able to run daily reports regarding course play and

The past few months our organization has had the privileges of discover, to report and to recommend a strategic plan for the National Cash Register Country Club (NCRCC) Facility. In addressing the boards concern(s) on what to expect once NCRCC converts to a full-service golf facility. The research conducted by our administration determined the overall satisfaction of all members was seventy-two percent with the highest dissatisfaction of nineteen percent among the older membership 55-64. Also, eighty percent of members who joined for golf were very happy accepted the new change of the golf club to a full-service facility. Including, an eighty-three percent satisfaction rating among current and new members when the casual dining facility bar/lounge, and the 37th Hole was added. To Build the management-research question hierarchy we will first start with the management dilemma. In this situation I see the management dilemma being, the need to attract more membership to support the new renovated facility and to account for the growing age of their current membership. Apparently AT&T purchased NCR Corporation and provided them a 4 million dollar loan to complete their renovations. Their immediate goal is to bring golf memberships to 680 and to increase social memberships as much as possible. The management question

Coursework can be had in several areas that relate to golf, but golf course management training looks to be a solid career choice as the golf industry remains one of the hottest career fields and perhaps will be for the next decade. Based on current trends and an aging population that tends to enjoy sports and leisure activities, golf clubs and courses stand to be in and around the center of retirement community development.
Troon believes that a quality golf experience is not just defined by the golf courses playing surfaces. They view that guest service and satisfaction, with an excellent food and beverage experience play a critical role in the success of a golf club, and thus strive towards providing these to its customers. To complement this belief, Troon recruits associates who are knowledgeable in both golf industry as well as the hospitality industry. (Troon Golf, 2014)
Ever since I was a young boy, sports were my passion. No matter the sport, I wanted to always stay up to date with breaking news, technology trends, live action, and be involved in any way shape or form. After picking up golf at a young age, it didn’t take me long to focus most of my time on the sport of golf. My dad, brother, and I got into the sport around the same time and have never looked back. We were instantly hooked with the satisfaction you felt when hitting the perfect shot and the amount of mental strength it took to compete at a high level. With my golf career coming to an end after the next semester, there is no other industry I want to work in but the golf industry. All of my knowledge and drive to work are in the industry of golf. My paper will outline the current trends going on in the golf industry, how the industry organizes itself, who the industry organizes it self around, and how to properly prepare to work in the organization. I will then touch on the company I am working for and the interview I did with my co-worker, Jacy Jackson, a business developer at my dream job, 18Birdies. He touches on how he got involved in the golf industry, the training and education needed to strive in the industry, and goals set forth to help the company of 18Birdies grow.
