Throughout my time in high school, I have intensely pursued the realm of
I would like to pursue a career as an architectural drafter and a drafting engineer. The Prairie Meadows Scholarship would help me financially and it would make it easier to pay off student loans after college. This is my dream job. I love taking architectural and engineer drafting classes at school. My parents always told me to get a job that I would enjoy so I would be happy to go to work. Architecture is something that I enjoy doing and would like to make a career out of.

It means that I will make my parents proud that their child has achieved her life goal.
My exposure in the field of engineering can be traced back to my high school days. Not only did I take science classes such as physics, but I was also a member of two engineering clubs which taught numerous material outside the school’s curriculum. With that
When I was a child, I never fully understood the importance of school. As I grew older my parents took the care to teach me that education, especially one that is free, was a privilege and would offer opportunities for success. For the two of them, Immigration to the United States offered prospects of a better life, yet to do so they needed education. So, as a result I have acquired that by learning I can reach my aspirations, but to reach that point I must be diligent, determined, and well-rounded. I aspire to go to college, and eventually help heal the world. Thus, why I believe that I am a well-suited Candidate for the AP Capstone Scholars’ Program.

Also, growing up I saw my mother struggle as a single parent so that her family can have basic human needs. This situation, assist me to see that women, minors, and the elderly population need someone to advocate for them so that they can empower themselves and progress to better choices.
The mission of Harvey Mudd College is to “educate engineers, scientists, and mathematicians well versed in all of these areas and in the humanities and the social sciences so that they may assume leadership in their fields with a clear understanding of the impact of their work on society.” The current vision of the college includes a focus on global engagement as well as innovation, leadership and interdisciplinary scholarship.
In 2012, about 5.9 million children were admitted into the hospital in the United States. When a child is admitted into the hospital, on average, they have a longer stay than adults. Being admitted in the hospital for an extended period as a child, creates obstacles to have a positive outlook on life. It is hard for parents to be able to take that much time off of work to be there to comfort and support their child. I would like to have the Prairie Meadows Scholarship to help children that have be in the hospital for extensive periods of time, have a better, more positive outlook on life.
I believe I should be selected for the Marguerite Gottenberg History Scholarship because of my passion for education and the impact I believe I can achieve in the classroom after getting my degree from Boise State. I am currently studying History Secondary Education and German at Boise State. I plan to get my teaching endorsements in history and German and teach at the high school level.

From the information I know, Missouri S&T, through its CEC, offers a unique and exciting opportunity. The CEC size, demography, breadth and quality of its educational and research programs, expertise of its faculty and diversity of its student population are key distinguishing features. To sustain and strengthen its leadership position as one of the largest engineering and computing colleges in the country, CEC needs to continue to support its existing successful programs and enhance its teaching and research mission and activities. For instance, research has shown that students from different backgrounds resonate more with certain engineering topics when their societal or humanitarian impact is emphasized, prefer non-traditional educational
Personal Statement: Twenty years of education have brought me a deep appreciation for the study of the Power systems, Controls systems and Telecommunication. When the time came to specialize, my decision to major in Electrical Power Engineering was motivated by the hope of achieving a strong opportunity of creativity, research, and development. Electrical Engineering, with its myriad sub-domains and multi-faceted nature is a natural amalgamation that allows me to express my creativity and innovative power to bring about works that offer benefits to society. The tools and aims may be different, but designing and developing software/hardware or devising a novel mathematical proof is relatable to the work of artists in their shared spirit of creating. I view my decision to study Electrical Engineering as a natural means of fulfilling my need to create since it equips me with tools for the job: the ability to devise, test and evaluate Power systems and the programming knowledge required to implement them.
