Today I was excited to be back into the lab site and play with the kids again. As soon as we walked in the room I felt the vibe of excitement from the kids because they ran to us and hugged us. In our lab site we have three students doing their observations hours and it can be hard to interact with all students. I decided to do the first hour in the observation hour an I think it was a bad idea. Since I was in the observation room for an hour I got tired sitting down watching through a mirror. Once I came out I was lazy and didn’t want to do anything. I had lack of energy and it was hard to focus in the kids. Last week I was more engage and energetic then this week. I was pretty bumped out that I was feeling this way because I was excited
On 10/29/2016, I, Dillon Dickerson, badge #155, was working as a Patrol Officer for the Wichita State University Police Department, in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. At approximately 2340 hours I was dispatched to Fairmount towers in regards to a suspicious character. Dispatch advised there was a black female asking students for cigarettes and money. Dispatch advised she was wearing a blue sweatshirt, a hat and had camo shoes on. I arrived at the Fairmount towers commons parking lot at 2334 hours. Officer Abbey #132 also arrived at which point we saw a black female matching the description over near the air conditioning units.
To further prove that TRIM5α was responsible for restricting HSV replication, TRIM5α expressing HeLa (H-R) cells were used to observe whether or not there was a reduction in replication and compared it to control HeLa (H-L) cells. It was found that low MOIs resulted in successful TRIM5α restriction of replication, but higher MOIs resulted in similar results in H-R and H-L cells. The viral yield was measured on Vero cells. This is an interesting result because both the H-R cells and H-L cells could not reduce replication of the virus with a high MOI. This might have to due with the amount of TRIM5α in the H-R cells and the virus can easily overwhelm at a certain threshold.
CMS has differential payment for inpatient and observation status patient services (Engoren. et., 2016). Observation status is covered under Medicare Part B, which is an optional coverage for beneficiaries and they are usually responsible for the co-payments, which is 20 percent of the Medicare payment for out payment services for such items as labs, x-rays and any medications they usually take at home. The beneficiary will also have to pay their yearly deductible for their Part B. The patient will receive a bill for non-covered services, including any required co-pay or deductibles. While patients are in observation, they could be charged co-payments for individual services they receive. Patients who do not have part B Medicare may incur
Many Sociologist believe that studying deviant behavior can be exciting, rewarding, and fun. However, the study of deviance can also be stressful, difficult and filled with difficulties that can be extremely challenging. There are many ways to research and study deviant behavior whether it be in covert or overt observation strategies. Covert observation is referred to as the study in which the researcher observes a social group and does not let the subjects know they are being studied (Inderbitzin, Bates, & Gainey, 2016, p. 575). Overt observation refers to public observation in which the researcher makes the social group aware that they are being observed and the researcher participates in the behavior (Inderbitzin, Bates, & Gainey, 2016, p. 577).
There are four major personal obstacles which I need to overcome on a daily basis, they are; Temporal Lobe damage, chronic pain, Attention Deficit Disorder, and Fibromyalgia. Over the years I have found ways to overcome what some would call disabilities, through constant determination, and prayer. The Temporal Lobe damage has caused short-term memory loss and recall issues. To overcome these issues when I am studying, I have to write down any thoughts the instant which they come to me or it will be lost in an instant. I have considered using a digital recorder, but they are not always convenient to use. To help me overcome the symptoms of chronic pain, and Fibromyalgia, I have to schedule my classwork during
Journal Entry #17- I’ve been in Vancouver for a few hours and it is gorgeous. Earlier I went to Stanley Park and sat on a bench and fed squirrel. Afterwards, I went to the aquarium where I saw mesmerizing jellyfish and breathtaking Beta fish! The people here are also amazing they’re so welcoming it’s crazy. It’s a shame I have to leave in a few day but I’m excited to go home soon.
I have a friend; we’ll call him “Rick”. Rick enjoys buying old classic cars. But, he is cheap. So he buys cars that typically look good, but they need “a little work”. While this could work out well for you if you’re a mechanic and have friends are mechanics, it never turns out well for Rick. He hires people who are unproven, and who he has not investigated. But, hay, they’re here now, and they’re offering a good price. Such an approach is bound to lead to disappointment.
The outside of town was empty, just fields and old railroad tracks. I come out here every day to take pictures and write. I love capturing a moment that will never come again; sure the sun always sets and rises in the same place but not in the same way. I always wonder what moments I miss, that I couldn’t catch on camera. Sometimes I think it’s a good thing, because not everything needs to be recorded. Mystery of nature and wildlife can be refreshing when you are the person experiencing it. Walking up and down the tracks and sometimes laying down on them to get the perfect shot. My favorite part of the outside of town is the railroad tracks and the fact that no one else comes up here. Other than Violet, but unfortunately she does not count.
I have a "friend" who hangs on me and follows me everywhere I go. Although this is not "strange" for most people, it is for my friend, whose name I will not say. Since I will not say names, lets call her Leaf. I'm not sure why I "leaf' came to mind, but the trees are budding, so let's go with it.
The goal of the journal is to explain several concepts, many being misunderstandings, of how dry ice is formed, and to use experiments to explain the hypotheses. The author provides explanations to scientific reactions that make fog result from mixing together dry ice and water. Kuntzleman, the author of “A Molecular Explanation of How Fog is Produced When Dry Ice Is Placed in Water”, also explains why various ideas about dry ice are false. He demonstrates his ideas using experiments he says can be performed using primarily cheap, and easy to find material.
Paisley woke up at 9:00 A.M. catch her flight to leave New Orleans. Just as she was sitting down they had announced that her flight was delayed because there was a huge dilemma. She yelled ugh! and sat back down. She thought to herself what am I going to do. A lightbulb went off in her head. she was going to go to Morning call in City Park. When she arrived at morning call, she went and looked on the menu and realized they only serve beignets and milk. After ten minutes of waiting she finally order, sat down and enjoyed her meal. she enjoyed it so much she lost track of time. she quickly rushed back to the airport to see her flight take off. she rushed to ask the lady when the next flight out was and she said tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. She tantalized
I really found your post very fascinated the fact you can stay at a present time it’s really a good thing. For me it was hard and I couldn’t stay at the present time at all and I have struggled working on my journal assignment, but obviously I figured out something that helped me to stay at the present time which was I went to the close park that located near me and being there helped me to stay focus on present time and on one sensory detail at a time as well. I liked the way you describe your main subject on writing your practice observation journal and I thought that was pretty good ideas Sujan. In addition to that focusing on smelling was the hardest thing for me while I was doing the practice observation assignment and I
An event that will influence my academic work and goals at CCU will be my Aspiring Missionary class and Missionary training that I am currently going through both at my church Saints Community Church of God in Christ and through our local jurisdiction the Fresno Metropolitan and later our state jurisdiction NorCal. My training starts with our Aspiring Missionary class which meet every second Saturday of each month for two years starting in February through October. During our classes we are required to study our lessons and be prepared to take at on our next meeting. At this level we have to know the background of the church, the church doctrine and history and structure of the church. Through this training I am
Quality work and commitment from every single employee plays an important role in the growth of the company. An Organisation being well managed or having a constant improvement is the result of each and every employee attaining the quality level. On the other hand, lack of commitment from an individual employee could actually disturb the proper functioning of an
A blog is a journal in which people write, often in a brutally direct way, about their observations, experiences, idea, and passion. Then they open it to the public, worldwide. A blog can be about a range of topics, whatever the writer is thinking about. Or it can be on a narrower topic, such a politics, education, technology, popular culture, or humor. Some blogs read like online magazines, with reports and commentaries about new developments. Most blogs are personal, but a good number are business-oriented. Like Web sites, blogs can include pictures and links to other Web sites. Unlike Web sites, new entries go on top of the page, pushing previous entries down.
