Introduction
Based on DanIndia Furniture Ltd case study, this report is aiming to identify the core activities performed by an administrator, discuss and evaluate two different types of working practices and it will conclude with the description of work related stress causes and two coping strategies which can be used to manage occupational stress.
Office Administrator - Core Activities
Office administration is defined as the process of overseeing the daily operations of an office. Depending on how the organisation

Administration – essential in meeting legal requirements and being able to provide accurate, up to date records to enable a company to plan for the future.
The following report will look at four core activities of an Office Administrator at Danlnia Furniture Ltd including; meetings management, information management, Reception duties and website management It will explain the role of organising, planning and co-ordinating in each one of the core activities. The developments in two working practices will be evaluated from the perspective of both an employer and an employee. The report will then also go on to identify and describe four causes of stress that are created through working. The report will then provide two possible solutions for these issues.
The Health and Safety at Work Act was put in place in 1974. This primary legislation covers occupational health and safety ensuring employees and employers are safe within their working environment.
Attempts are made to keep employees focused by frequent staff meetings, but people only partially pay attention as managers announce company developments. Management’s perceived need to continually push employees to act right is apparent in the way they handles the missing cover page on Peter’s TPS report. Stress To study stress in the work place, researchers often measure the existing stressors being dealt with by employees. The stressors may be either physical or psychological demands to which an individual responds and, if chronic or persistent, can lead to negative reactions or responses called strains. Physical task stressors include excessive heat, noise, and light, as well as job demands such as a time-pressured work pace, heavier workload, and the amount of hours worked.
An organization administrative service manager is an individual who is responsible for a private or government organization. Their job criteria consist of planning, directing, telecommunicating, and coordinating supportive services to maintain functional operations. Their duties varies from supervising, recordkeeping, and the organization of the office.
Our office manager is responsible for all non physician scheduling. He or she will also handle administrative conflicts and patient complaints. He or she is also our liaison with Technical Support Teams. Their responsibilities also include ordering non medical office supplies and entering or calling in the payroll. He or she is the general overhead of all administrative office procedures.

An administrative assistant has many responsibilities in the medical field – they must handle patients, answer phones, complete and file paperwork, assist their physicians, as well as additional tasks that must be adequately balanced during their shifts. Any work environment can have stressful aspects that can negatively affect the employees’ performance and may lead to burnout. Oftentimes when employees are stressed or burnout their commitment at the job may begin to weaken and they may lose satisfaction. Many organizations have recognized that workers burnout is the result of aggravated chronic work stressors and embodied by enervation and inefficacy. This author will discuss the impact of stress and worker burnout on organizations. Moreover, this author will consider the implication of stress and worker burnout on the employee, as well as the short- and long-term productivity of a business.
Most of the Bury Payplan clients choosing BACS payment method and some of our clients are interested to pay their employees via Cheque. To ensure on time processing and output delivery NGA have implemented a schedule which is known as Master Schedule. Which consist of Name and reference of payrolls, Frequency of payrolls, Pay Method, Pay date, Payroll Input due date, Preview Date, Preview cutoff date, Payroll Final report due date , BACS submission date and current status of payroll(Process pending, processing, processed, audit pending, auditing, audited, input awaiting, query to client). NGA give different colours for each payroll status this help NGA to identify the payroll status easily. To ensure on time processing of BACS NGA create another spread sheet called BACS control sheet for BACS clients, which includes BACS transmission date, BACS processing date and pay date. Both the schedule help NGA to process the payroll and pay the employees on time and this ensure 100% Turn Around Time (TAT) for all payrolls. NGA sending each client’s forthcoming period’s schedule along with their payroll output therefore our clients also aware about their schedule for each pay period. The Administrative process consists of key elements that makes the administrative process helps our economy run and the key elements are decision-making, budgeting, and implementation. The Administrative power that the government holds is what enables the administration to run the economies with the key elements that were said. There are different sources of powers that each of the administrative agencies possesses. Each key element can be broken into many important aspects that keep’s the administrative process running.
An executive and administrative assistant’s role is in a position of trust. The executive of the administrative assistant are often entrusted with documents of a very sensitive nature such as payroll and salary, medical records, itinerary and schedules, correspondence and trade secrets. It is very important to ensure confidential information is protect from unauthorized personnel. A breach of sensitive information could result in identify theft, the potential for blackmail, emotional distress, or unwarranted exposure.
