Android from the very beginning have used to give the same features as IPhone at a low price. The ownership of IPhone has increased but so is the ownership of android phones. If only the price of the IPhones were a little low it could have made a better profit. They would have also made better sales in America. Smartphones are a mobile technology that utilizes an advanced operating system in portable devices. Currently, the advanced operating systems employed on smartphones are IOS and Android. IOS was developed by Apple and is exclusive to its mobile devices only. However, Android is an open source operating system that is utilized by various smartphones on the market. Nevertheless, current smartphones employing either operating system encompasses the capabilities of a cell phone, camera, computer, mp3 player, external hard drive, GPS, and internet connection. This collection of technology on one device makes it very advantageous for businesses and convenient for individuals. The operating systems that are used in computers to manage the computer resources and provide the direct user interface to the computer system are the operating systems of a computer whereas the mobile operating system is the operating system specially designed for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. I will start by mentioning the pros of Android OS. Android 8.0, according to benchmarks tests, runs two times faster than the previous Android OS (7.0 Nougat). This is a plus for me because I am frequently using gaming and social media apps. The Android OS is open sourced, which grants me the ability to download 3rd party apps. Because of this, and because I love listening to music, I can get Spotify Premium and Pandora One for free by downloading the apps from internet websites rather than from the Play Store. Another benefit of the Android OS is the new Picture-in-Picture mode that comes standard with the Android 8.0 upgrade. This mode allows videos to be shrunk down to a resizable window allowing the user to open and operate other apps. Personally, I do not think I will use this mode a lot, but it is nice to know that I can use it whenever I please. While Android’s OS has many benefits, the same OS also has many setbacks.

Imagine that someone wants to be like someone else that is cool and wants to be like them and wear the same stuff that they are wearing and wants to get the same phone because everybody has the same phone but they go to the phone store and they just found out that they can't get an iphone because it's so expensive and they can't afford it and they were looking at android phones and they found out that it's a lot more better when it comes to expenses .Many people these days fight over to talk about which phone is better Android or Iphones, but they are just phones but there are ups and downs for both of the brands. One of the reasons is that the expenses of the phones that they make, Almost everyone can afford and Android they come in different prices and apple prices are really high and a lot of people can't get that phone because they can't afford it. Android is the most selling phone to this day still. Another reason is that multitasking is a lot easier they introduced multi- window awhile ago, which means you can look at several apps at once. My last reason is that androids are able to take the batteries out because they die over time.
