Other Mobile Dating Applications (MDAs) or meet up MDAs in the industry have faced challenges and/or attempted in bringing people together physically in a where two users are collocated in the immediate area of each other. As the most traditional non-augmented reality focused MDAs have very similar swipe features, built in chat and other premium non-entertainment style features, the interactivity has become time-consuming. As a result of the back-and-forth lengthy dialog in typical messaging, interest on both ends of the spectrum usually ends up being lost connection. Some of these applications displays individuals in the immediate area within 350 meters. The problem of meeting in a co-located area such as bar, coffee shop and so on, has not been introduced. However, there has been some good results with MDAs that has changed over the years that enable people to meet a potential partners and addressed particular security issues by relieving some of the burden during these public meet ups. Many mobile applications have attempted to address issues with profiles for those who are online and message other users that might be interested in establishing a meet up; discussing approval and what the other user might be into is easier online before a meet up than in an initial face-to-face. There has been negative social consequences to this type of implemented technology such as exposing individuals to an online market, but as a solution to the bar pick-up culture, or many areas without specific sexual preference clubs and bars, there are success some stories with MDAs that helped a lot of people make connections which still remains a challenge. Most of these types of MDAs have exposed a person’s sexual preference which some apps needed to focus solely targeting specific preference to maintain privacy. Today there are some MDAs that specifically focus and are only for sexual preferences but usually MDAs are separated explicitly. Some privacy concerns are at an unknown state with the use of augmented reality being introduced
