Persuasive The Coca Cola Advertising

With the majority of America glued to their screens, the Super Bowl is a spectacle of sport, half-time performances, and creative commercials that keep getting better every year. The Coca-Cola Company being a world-xrenowned corporation seeks to advertise their product in the Super Bowl to hopefully gain millions of more consumers. Known for their exciting and quirky commercials, Coke plays on the emotions and identity of their viewers to convince everyone that their product will open happiness in their ad “America The Beautiful.” Thus, this raises the question, how does The Coca-Cola Company persuade their audience to buy their product by reinforcing ethos, pathos, and logos through cultural norms and stereotypes? First and foremost, “America the Beautiful” begins by showing a man riding horseback across a valley and then quickly transitions to children watching a movie in the theater while enjoying coke concessions. The ad then transitions to teenagers hanging out at the beach, children tap dancing in the street, a family going camping, a family dinner, friends hanging out in the city, and a family going roller skating. Near the end of the ad, Coke does a brief reflection of the scenes shown and ends with their Coke product and logo displayed in the middle of the screen with the hashtag “America Is Beautiful.” All throughout the minute long ad, the American patriotic song "America the Beautiful" is playing in multiple languages instead of being traditionally sung in
