People coming together, improving an environment is a chance- a way to make a situation more positive. Rosario Dawson embodies this form of chance to give a new meaning to latino teenagers; their families are immigrants who have traveled to the United States in search of a better life, but prejudice from others may make them feel that they do not have a voice in the political world. However, the actress joined for a cause of V-Day, “which has a particular view and approach to activism” (Courtney E. Martin 143). V-Day gives the inspiration that young latinos do have a voice, they participated in the election of President Obama by achieving “57 percent of their votes in a state where Latinos have faithfully supported Republicans in this past” (Martin 141).
