Pleasant Oaks nursing facility is pleased to announce to the Hawthorne community, the expansion of a free standing assisted living facility. Although Pleasant Oaks was launched thirty years ago, the facility has experienced greater-than-anticipated demand for its services, and evidence has proven that the target market of elderly care would likely increase in disproportion of the size of our current facility. Both entrepreneurs hold a Master degree in health administration and worked for several years in the health care industry. Nathan and Thelma, in 1986, decided to open a skilled nursing facility to provide outstanding elderly care to members of our communities.
Pleasant Oaks reflects Nathan’s and Thelma’s long time commitment of our communities. And as the health industry evolves, our communities continue to grow, Pleasant Oaks is pleased to announce an extension of its services. This extension is an attempt to provide our elders a personalized homelike environment to preserve and maintained their privacy and dignity. The extension is a free-standing self-contained thirty, one bedroom apartments and two bedroom apartments with a kitchen, living room, porch or balcony.
We have maintained an excellent leadership team and staff loyalty and retention. Our staff goes beyond providing care and our services exceeds customer satisfaction. We work with elders and their families to meet each resident individualized needs. Our activities are structured to enhance the residents’ cognitive abilities and reconnect them to their past. This group of people are frail and unable to meet up with their daily activities. This group of elderly people have the money, and are willing to spend a little extra to get a higher level of care.
While the National center for assisted living facilities in 2010, indicated that 735,000 elders nationwide, live in assisted living settings, our targeted group, prefers a less institutionalized, homelike, and a structured friendly and interactive environment. Relatives are great for nights out or weekends, but they do not compare to a structured program when it comes to the quality of care activities that are offered at the facility.
