Description of Proposed Project (at least 200 words) My practicum project is to develop a strategic plan for the four-year program that began in April 2016 at my practicum site. The organizations can have a chance to recognize themselves through strategic planning because it would show the goals, missions, interests, strengths, and limitations of the organizations. I will collect the information about the kindergarten I’m working for such as the history, cost, and problem as well as the four-year program such as their curriculum so that I can use the information to analyze. Understanding the current situation is the first step of the strategic planning. Therefore, I will monitor the progress of the program through the semester. If the kindergarten …show more content…
From April 2016, the kindergarten has offered five days class as a regular class. However, there are some differences between four-years program and other programs. The class teachers need to need to make daily activities plan based on children’s development through trial and error. When the kindergarten began a new program, they had their plan with a mission. However, the kindergarten did not do any “strategic planning” like the way I learned in the class. Thus, the kindergarten does not have the mission statement, written goals and visions. Since I have never worked for organizations or companies except for private kindergarten, I have no idea if strategic planning is common or not in Japan. At least, I do not know any kindergartens that do “strategic planning.” I will identify any critical issues that the four-year program has, therefore strategic plan may help the kindergarten and the teachers to clearly recognize the current situation. Moreover, the strategic plan could be useful as a blueprint for the kindergarten when they would like to provide a new program, although I’m going to focus on the four-year …show more content…
Therefore, I will state the plan that can be used in the future. I can not take survey or interview with children in the program because the kindergarten does not allow me to do it due to limited time and children’s age. Thus, all participates of the evaluation would be teachers in the kindergarten who are experts in child development and administration of the kindergarten. As an evaluation, I will ask teachers who are in the four-year program as well as who are in regular class some questions through survey or interviews as qualitative data. The strategic plan will show the weak points or problem of the program. Therefore, the questions to evaluate will include: what change would improve the program, how do you think about the impact that children in the program may have and so on. I will also add other questions to review the procedure of the project through consulting with my supervisor and other teachers. The main focus of the evaluation would be a professional evaluation by experienced teachers and comparative analysis of our program and a similar program in another kindergarten if it is possible. The observation could be other data to evaluate the program. When I complete evaluation, it is important to share the result of the evaluation with written report with all teachers in the
Organisations with strategic plans have goals that are long term essentially five year plans that guides programs and functions of administration,
Guidelines are created to ensure a success interview process. Setup meeting time with the individuals, which will be interviewed and be prepared and on time. Within this paper I will introduce a series of tactical plans to push the YMCA to success in the coming years. Strategic planning is a set of clearly defined goals, objectives, strategies and tactics. Along with the long-lasting mission and vision, as well as a strong accountability structure, this paper will set a roadmap for growth and continued success for the YMCA organization. The true beauty of the YMCA lies with staff and volunteers working together to create all-inclusive opportunities for Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility for all members of our community.
Once a strategic plan has been outlined, the strategic planning committee should aid in the development of operational plans for each subunit of the school district. Although school operational plans will vary from campus to campus, they must remain aligned with achieving the strategic objectives of the school system. Individual school operational plans will be analyzed by the committee prior to being approved.
The author is a nurse in a level two trauma facility in a community of approximately fifty thousand people in Oregon. The community is a college-town surrounded by a large agricultural area. There is a minimal ethnic diversity within the community. The diversity present occurs mainly from internationally students and faculty from the college. The hospital is the only one in the area to offer trial of labor services to women who have previously undergone a cesarean section. The unit on average experiences around 1000 deliveries annually.
The leadership team discussed specific outcomes that they want accomplish, taking into consideration the issues they want to address. After careful deliberation, they decided that they wanted to create a process of implementation with a feedback loop in which teachers and staff discuss each lesson. Documentation would be written down of what worked and what did not work and modifications could be done for the upcoming lessons. This could be accomplished by setting time for staff to meet and discuss lesson implementation, areas of strength and weakness. After discussion the staff would discuss and change the lesson plans to meet the needs of classroom. By crating this process of implementation staff can course correct
I am a senior at my school and will soon leave for college. My parents have decided to expand their housing ownership to the college district that I will be going to and I will be the one responsible for their new property. As you can imagine I know next to nothing about owning and maintaining a house and, after looking some things up, I realized that I also know very little about how to go about things in the real world. I started this project for myself so I wouldn’t mess up something important for them, but quickly realized that it would make a great senior project. I already know the basics of how to take care of both myself and a house but I realize that I will need more detailed information when I graduate. The main area for my project is English as I will be producing a finished manuscript on the subject of living alone for the first time.
For our capstone project, our group will be focusing on the examination and analysis of the newest version of the Android operating system, 8.0 or Android oreo. The ultimate goal of the project is to create a well documented and detailed source of information for forensic investigators examining Android devices running Android 8.0. Currently, there is very little forensic information about the newest version of Android, especially in terms of the newest features such as now playing, instant apps, among many others. We decided to cover this topic with the goal of keeping information current in the field of digital forensics. This is an important task, especially with the growing popularity of Android and the importance of mobile devices in

Early childhood education must always be changing and evolving to meet the needs of the children and families that we serve. In the short term for this school, the plan is to implement a new curriculum for students 2 and under. The plan is to re-train teachers and add new equipment to the classrooms when expansion becomes available. Long term, the plan is to open a second school.
Stafford County Public Schools (SCPS) Superintendent, W. Bruce Benson, shared a new strategic planning effort for Stafford County Public Schools with the School Board at Tuesday’s meeting. These efforts will focus on a proactive, inclusive process of identifying the critical issues that a school system must address to efficiently continue providing value. Benson stressed, “Good strategic planning is dynamic in nature, moving a school division from a reactionary mode to a proactive operating mode by establishing and linking the vision, mission, goals, key performance measures, strategies and action plans to the budget.” Strategic planning at the organization level makes a school system less reliant upon any one individual, and the work of the organization is better able to transcend changes in key positions as the key focus is embedded in the culture of the organization.
This practicum has influenced my life extremely. When I was there my first day I thought domestic violence was physical abuse. That was the first thing I thought about but while at the agency I learned more about domestic violence it is also mentally, and financial. While at the agency I seen different clients that experienced all sorts of abuse.
i. Speed has become a competitive advantage; more and more organizations are relying on cross-functional project teams to get new products and services to the market as quickly as possible.
Per John M. Bryson, strategic planning, if properly conducted, can help the leaders and managers of public and non-profit organizations think, learn and act tactically. Strategic planning enables organizational leaders and managers to first identify their organization’s mission and/or purpose. Thereafter, the planning process permits these leaders to pinpoint the actions and activities that will enable the organization to achieve its mission. Finally, the planning process requires the organizational leaders to synthesize objectives and activities into a blueprint or concrete plan of action under which the organization will conduct its business.
Strategic planning has been defined by many scholars. According to Rowley, Lujan, & Dolenece (1997), strategic planning is an optimization process within an organization to maintain the essential components of it. In strategic planning, it is important to consider the stability between the organization and the environment that is changing by developing a practical process that comply organization’s future needs as well as achieving its goals (Peterson, 1999). Higher education’s environment has been changing in the past 25 years due to economic change, policy change, rise of social expectations, complexity of the management, and new leaderships (Manning, 2012). The evolution and complexity of higher education requires more sophisticated strategic planning models with focus on the mission and vision of the organization as well as the changing environment.
