The PSYC 255 course at Liberty University is an introductory course that offers students a fundamental perceptive of different techniques used for research and investigation of data in the behavioral science field. The eight week course itinerary is filled with assignments that direct the student toward a path that is filled with collective psychological research approaches and design methods. It offers fundamental familiarity about the American Psychologist Association (herewith called APA) ethical and legal requirements. Plus it directs a student toward comparing the APA’s standard methods used for the research theory process versus bible standards. Lessons follow coaching in the relevance of a case study approach and the advantages and disadvantages. Then, a comparison study is done on qualitative and quantitative research technique and consideration. Upon course completion students are able to identify and understand the essentials of the research, method of preparation, overall written communications and technical considerations.
Some documents that can be obtained include letters, articles, newspapers and clerical records. Archival documents that are acquired include census records, survey records and name lists. Several physical artifacts can be collected for example, tools and objects. In an attempt to gain a position as a psychologist, I will be discussing schizophrenia and the disorder’s casual factors, associated symptoms, the areas of the brain it affects, and the neural basis of the disorder. I will continue on to discuss appropriate drug therapies. In addition I will also be reviewing two separate case studies, each on a different disorder. I will be examining each problem from the perspective of a bio psychologist. I will define the patient’s diagnosis at length I will relate each case to the nature-nurture theory, and talk about any helpful drug interventions or solutions for each disorder. When talking about drug intervention, it is also important to discuss the positive and

Evaluation as an end in itself is a very different process from counseling. Why would a counselor want to be an evaluator?
The goal of parole is to reduce recidivism and help rehabilitate offenders. That is not always the case; offenders will reoffend anyways and be sent back to prison to finish out their sentence. There are many programs out there that try to help parolees become a part of the community again and stay out of trouble. The programs are out there; it is up to the parolees to join them and stay committed. The programs goals are to help the offenders reintegrate into society by using procedures and community resources.

This week I learned about differe\irente instruction. I also learn how to implement a lesson plan to meet the needs for each students in the classroom. Each child learning style is different one child might understand the problem one way and then another child might solve the problem a whole different way. I learned about exceptional children and how they need intensive learning and individualize learning. That why it is important to observe and know each individual child so you can support them to the bset of their ability. My host teacher used different strategies to help the students understand the problem. When I did my lesson plan if was a challenge and time consumer.I likle how the lesson plan met the needs of the children. The teacher put the students in different groups so they acn help each other learn. Sometimes children learn best and better from other children. My host teachger explain to me that
This week’s assignment started by directing us to complete a self-assessment, which I felt was a well laid out chart with established skills and a level in which to rate yourself from 1 being poor up to 5 being good. I think it was a good exercise, giving us a better insight to our strengths and weaknesses. I do in fact think that I learned something new about myself and could more easily answer the question of “tell me your strengths and weaknesses”, which is often asked at interviews or promotion boards.
The client is a well-dressed, well-groomed Palestinian female who present to the clinic dressed appropriately in denim jeans, printed top, head scarf and sandals. The client is alert and oriented to person, place, time and situation. The client appears to be younger than her stated age. The client is cooperative during the interview, sitting with her legs crossed but her foot was in constant motion. The client also made very large hand gestures when discussing her reason for evaluation. The client reports being very anxious and states “I considered checking myself in the hospital…I know I need help.” The client’s speech is rapid and pressured with a foreign accent. The client’s tone of voice is appropriate with trembling, but fluctuates at times. The client frequently looks for the correct English translation of words
Fry Brothers heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. employs Larry Clark and George Murnen to make service calls to repair furnaces and air conditioning units in homes. Tom Fry, the owner, would like to know whether there is a difference in the mean number of service calls they make per day. A random sample of 40 days last year showed that Larry Clark made an average of
My experiences upon completing PSY7620 was a combination of positive and negative. To begin with, I have never been good at grasping mathematical concepts. My positive experiences was that I did receive a 100% on one of my assignments but on the other hand, terribly failed another assignment. It was a positive experience to know that I can understand some concepts of statistics. The anxiety of math has not changed over the course of the class, as I still struggled quite a bit with applying the concepts. I was able to clearly express all concepts in our discussions, but the applying of concepts just doesn’t go with the way my mind works. I will never see math as one of my strong points, hence why I am in a field of social work that does
Upon completing the PsyCap self-assessment, I received a feedback of “High level” in all of the categories. Just like the Big Five assessment, I was unsure what the assessments had to do with my efforts in work, until I dug deeper into the reading material; in which, changed my perspective on the assessments. According to Fred Luthans a professor at University of Nebraska, states “those with high levels of positive psychological capital, also known as, “PsyCap”, have higher levels of hope, efficacy, resilience, and optimism (HERO) (Kinicki & Fugate, 2016)”. Understanding the qualities on the assessment of your Psycap, has been shown to foretell many of the results in the Integrative Framework, such as, aggregating the job gratification, commitment, organization, and your security; while reducing intentions to quit, anxiety and job stress (Kinicki & Fugate, 2016). These individual qualities will be explain more in depth in the writing, with also providing some examples and details of how each quality will relate to my work place and how they may help me achieve my upcoming career goals.
