The literature presented by author justified developed of the experimental intervention. The researchers used the review of the literature to describe variables and amount of research that had been done on each variable. Numerous appropriate references were used in experimental intervention. These literatures subsidize to the overall support to experimental intervention and to reasoning for proving the problem statements.
Research Intervention Acknowledge
According the results of study experimental interventions were offered current expertise. Research demonstrated that promethazine was given as a primary antiemetic agent on control group and as rescue agent on experimental group. Additionally, metoclopramide as a rescue agent were not
As the psychology is a subject of science, experiment is important part of this subject. Before
By conducting a trial utilising the application of the theory it had the ability to further determine the effectiveness through the effect the exercises had on the participants.
Throughout this course I have learned many things about research at an introductory level. Research is a critical part of all of our lives in many ways. God blesses each of us with a degree of common sense and we all learn from observing others even as babies, we learned behaviors and skills by observing our parents. Walking through experiences throughout life teach us a lot we need to know as well but sometimes we have to take a better approach when we need to learn about certain things. Many of us know that what works in some situations or with certain individuals doesn’t always work or is the safest option for another situation. Controlled and precisely organized study allows scientists to compare and examine contrasting methods and concepts, also helps them to discover various approaches and be able to learn from individual’s behaviors and experiences. I will act as the case study throughout this paper in order to observe what I have learned about.
The experimental method in researching child development has been greatly used by researchers. It has several advantages and disadvantages. One advantage is that it helps to prove a hypothesis through the collection of data on independent or dependent variables in a closed or open environment. Experiments help to create the ideal environment for the researcher to study the phenomenon. However, it suffers the disadvantage of limiting the behavior that can be studied since the test is not conducted in the natural environment. The laboratory experiment helps researchers to control and manipulate variables as they wish and to measure the effect with ease. It also allows them to facilitate replication through reproducing identical conditions to the desirable ones for the experiment. However, the results may not be applicable to the natural environment as a result of the researcher controlling the environment too much. Experiments in general also help researchers to collect data on changes that occur over time. However, especially for longitudinal studies, the researcher may need to collect huge amounts of data which requires a lot of time. This also increases the expense of the research.
The strategy begins with a desired outcome, rather than a hypothesis to be tested, the starting point for most independently conducted research. With the assistance of cooperative scientists, the advocate designs study protocols, specifies a process for
In the modern age of health, education and public safety, society relies on rigorous research methods to find answers to complex issues dealing with social issues and general concerns. Ultimately, some short-term research methods may initially fail; however, continued extended research should surely result in success and benefit future generations. Depending on the topic of research; some research methods might be more appropriate than others. For example, clinical and laboratory experimental trials might receive better consummation if they use Quasi-experimental and Classical Experimental design rather than Cross Sectional Studies and Longitudinal Studies which focuses more on psychological experiments and behavior studies (Addison) (2015).
In a laboratory study of sleep deprivation, researchers employed a variety of techniques to keep
2. Practice effects - If they know they are going to be tested, and if they keep coming back, participants may be better, more calmer.
In our experiment, we studied if sugar make kids hyperactive? We did the planning and execution together. Our prediction was that sugar would increase their blood pressure and would weaken their concentration and memory. Our experiment showed us that the myth and we were wrong. If we had had more time, if we had given them more sugar and if the subjects were younger the experiment results would be much more accurate. Even though our subjects were not young kids and we had a limited amount of time and therefore a limited number of subjects I can say that we busted the myth successfully.
The main strength of this experiment was the fact the original hypothesis mentioned above was supported by the data. Another strength of this experiment is the methodology. They assessed 5 different
However, the pitfalls of the study are also included in this section as well as the factors that limited the study. This section should however, compare the results with those from other similar studies. Yet for this paper, that part was lacking. Besides, the paper discussed the potential limitations to the research as well as the strengths of the study (Viktrup, 2002). The study’s implication is also inclusive and is clearly structured and helpful. Finally, the paper had a conclusion that contained a summary and the recommendations.
All of the studies was able to recognise the effect of the treatment using the values gained from the outcome measures. Also, the confidence limits were calculated, it was able to recognise the treatment effects was statistically significant.
The article CAN STUDENTS RUN THEIR OWN INTERVENTIONS?: A SELF-ADMINISTERED MATH FLUENCY INTERVENTION written by David M. Hulac, Kayla Dejong, and Nicholas Benson caries the discussion further on the implementation of response to intervention, especially in the area of mathematics. The article begins with expansion of response to intervention (RTI) in the past recent years but the limited amount research conducted in the area of mathematics. A comparison is drawn between research found within the area of mathematics thus far is the use of working memory. It is agreed that students who relay heavily on working memory, are not able to free the working memory to learn new information and are unable to free it to process new information. The intervention
In order to better understand the results from our study, it will beneficial to look at past studies. This will help highlight the comparisons between our results and theirs. By doing this, it will become clear if their methods compared to ours, thus resulting in either more or less accurate results. This will make the strengths and weaknesses of our study more apparent.
The techniques of the stimulation measured the success of change and it provided feedback as to which measures. The simulation provided a useful
