The GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender) community now get the legal right of same-sex marriage, which they have fought for throughout the years; on the other hand, some opponents of same-sex marriage have called for a constitutional change towards it. Although there were some countries that allowed gay marriage before the United States, in June 26, 2015 a very important day for the GLBT community and American history since congress voted on making legal same sex marriage in all 50 states. Right now our country is still dealing with one of the bigger social issues that plagues our society. People will argue for and against it in many different ways, whether it be right or wrong. The issue at hand is whether gay marriage should be legal or illegal. There are arguments on both sides of the spectrum, but at the end of the day gay marriage should be legal in all 50 states. Marriage is a right and freedom that should not be denied to any one person because of sexual orientation.

What if you met someone and fell deep in love? What if they meant everything in the world to you? Wouldn’t you do whatever it takes to make them happy? What if i told you that you couldn’t? and that no matter how much you showed someone that you are meant to be that you couldn’t marry them? The Supreme Court’s decision to rule in favor of gay marriage was eye opening to me and made me dig deep for an honest opinion. While I do not necessarily agree with gay couples or gay marriage, I came to a fair conclusion. I am surprised it took this long to finally get this law passed since gay couples are no different from straight couples, and no one should be denied the right to marry. The backlash to this was very astonishing and disgusting. All these couples want to do is love each other and live a normal life just as a straight couple would.

First, it can clearly be seen that same-sex marriage is primarily about equality. Everyone has equal rights and liberties to chase happiness, as long as it does not cause harm to the society, so why should their freedoms be limits? Why can’t someone be able to marry a person they truly love? Discrimination and banning homosexual couples to get married violates human rights and freedoms. Laws which against gay marriage deny the First Amendment which states that everyone has freedom of speech, expression and religion. Sexual determination is an option, so it is how some people can express themselves.

In discussions of gay marriage one controversial issue has been whether or not it should be legalized. On the one hand, some people argue that gay marriage should not be accepted in our society. On the other hand, some people believe that gay marriage should be legalized. Others even maintain that gay marriage is not a problem, and we should respect the preferences of everyone. My personal view is that gay marriage is not a big issue because we are in a free country, where everyone has to respect the preferences of each other, and does not matter the sex preference because we are all the same.

The United States Supreme Court has already ruled out in support of same-sex marriage after an extensive legal procedure. Based on the ruling, all the couples are entitled to the right of marriage may it be same-sex or the opposite sex. The American dream is one of freedom and equality. It’s supposed to be branded in the hearts of every United States citizen however, when it comes to homosexuals, citizens of the United States wake up and the dream is demolished. Gay sex marriage is the most conflicting issue in the contemporary social world. Marriage is an association of persons through which we perceive the reflection of a particular culture. It is basically a private matter and a fundamental human right. People should have the right to decide with whom they marry, not the state. This paper discusses homosexuality in our society, particularly in granting homosexual couples a right to marry. The pros and the cons throw out a ton of arguments supporting their position. This issue, whether or not the same-sex marriage should be allowed, is extremely controversial and the debates never end. In this paper, I take the pro side by providing strong both qualitative and quantitative data, how the homosexual marriage can benefit society, how far they have fought for their rights, etc.

Same-sex marriages have a same gender identity or biological as gay and lesbian couples. Not a long time ago, people did not understand about gays, homosexualities, and these married situations. Therefore, they have many false ideas about gays and think homosexuality is against God and nature. Although some people still dispute against this problem, I believe that the law and we should have equal rights for the gay couples become legally because they have the human rights and have the right to pursue their happiness, adopt children, and people should not discriminate against them.

Same sex marriage is way more accepted now, then it was back in the day. Even though some individuals now a days are dealing with same sex marriages and tolerating it. They are still some individuals out there that don’t think it is right because it is against their belief, ethnicity etc. Everybody has there on beliefs and opinions as regards to same sex marriage, some may be good some may be bad. Same sex marriage has been a huge topic for many years. Some states have ruled it unconstitutional, and some have disagreed, and even passed a law to allow same sex couple to legally get married. Should we punish people for wanting to show and express their love for one another? Me personally, I feel that these people should be allowed to show their love for one another the same as a man marring a woman. The only difference in their love is sexual preference and I don’t think that should be a huge deal.
