Sleep is known to be the best medicine when it comes to healing and resting the body. Resting and sleeping is known to be important for healthy living as well as deficiency of sleep can lead to major harm. The reason sleep is so important is because sleep allows the conscious mind to sleep and replenishes body physically. When we do not sleep we are over working the organs and our brain. Many of students and adults around the world are losing sleep because of school and work respectively. This affects their work and their progress when solving problems in everyday life. The lack of sleep can lead to reduced motor skills, lack of concentration and also the lack of alertness. This is because the brain needs to reorganize the memories of the day and clear the mind for the next day. When we aren’t resting, the mind keeps all the functions of the body open and therefore causing deceases. One of the major problems that sleep helps with is problem solving. This is because the brains hypothalamus is opened and active while we are sleeping. The hypothalamus helps restore, replace, recall, and rebuild memories and thoughts of the day. This helps with problem solving because it helps restore ideas learned throughout the day through neural connections. Overall sleep helps with problem solving by consolidating memories, resting the brain and body, and can help with accessing past information to understand new problems.
