2. a. Habituation is a common and simple form of learning. It involves a diminished awareness of a stimulus after constant experiences with it. An example of this would be when I spray on some perfume before I leave for class in the morning. As the day progresses, I will no longer notice the scent of the fragrance I am wearing, but other people around me will be able to smell it. I analyzed the data using the constant comparative method as found within the field of sociology. The constant comparative method consists of analyzing a single interview for themes, then using these themes to analyze the remaining interviews (Boeije 2002). The interviews are also analyzed against themselves to discover new themes and alter the beginning themes. In addition, the interview data will be compared between the gender of the interviewees, the roles of the interviewees, and the phase during which they were interviewed. The observation data is analyzed in a similar manner, however instead of comparing interviews the different observation sessions will be compared to first the initial observation session and then between days of the week and time of the day.

Sociocultural influences evolve from a consumer's formal and informal relationship with other people. These influences in regards to our company include personal influence, family influence, and culture. Personal influence is when a customer’s purchases are often influenced by the views, opinions, and behaviors of others. An example of this is word-of-mouth activity. If a customer likes our product and they start talking to other prospective customers than those prospective buyers will either be influenced to buy the product or they will be deterred from trying it. Many potential customers tend to follow opinion leaders. These are individuals who directly and indirectly influence others opinions based on theirs. Our opinion leaders would be the customers who initially try our product even though we are a newer business. These customers did not need another person's opinion before they tried the baked goods we have to offer. Social psychology emerges from the discipline of sociology which deals with the external causes of behaviour (the effect of the social environment on behaviour), and psychology which deal with the internal causes of behaviour (personality, mental and thought processes etc.) to form its own distinct scientific discipline in psychology that looks at both external and internal factors as a cause of human behaviour.
