EXECUITVE SUMMARY A Career Advisor has a multi-faceted and key role to play in shaping up the future of the students. They act as a confidant when students want share their apprehensions and concerns, a bridge between the professional and theory world, help in professional/social development. Since this job requires the individual to be able to adapt to the specific needs of each student, a candidate having a balance between experience and education will have a lot to offer. The job specification hopefully will attract candidate who have the ability to understand the unstated, to pre-empt what the student needs and guide the student to develop those skills to enter industry of their choice via internship, resume writing etc. We have tried to use cost effective methods to advertise the job opening. They are listed in the detailed report along with the reasons and benefits for each approach. Once we hire someone a few metrics which could help us analyze if the job specification helped us to attract right candidates or not, whether the various approaches were effective or not, how much did we spend on each approach. Analyzing these would help us to decide whether we should continue or change the currently used approach, should we increase/decrease the budget for hiring.
