Study Skills After taking the quiz I received a score of a 38. I would agree with this score because I try to do my best at choosing an environment that will best suit me, yet there are still places I could improve in my study habits. When I am studying or doing homework, I either try to find a place in my home that does not have too much noise, or I will go to Starbucks. While I am doing my work I do not stay on one single subject for too long, in order to try and keep myself from getting frustrated or worked up. Doing this also helps me get more work completed, so I have time for sports and other activities. When being a student- athlete, there is a large amount that can stack up ontop of eachother and I have to learn how to manage everything. Time management plays a big role in the life of a student- athlete. To make sure I get everything done and I study the best way for myself, I have to manage how much time I spend on everything, stick to a routine, be engaged and proactive. In all, there are multiple ways that I can improve my study skills as a student- athlete.

After taking the learning styles and study strategies quiz, I received the results of 50% tactile, 25% Auditory, and 25% visual learner. I would strongly agree with these results because I am a

In this class we will have to read the class book as well as other books such as The Great Gatsby. There will be time limits on the books and deadlines for projects. Therefore, I will when reading any book, take breaks frequently to clear my mind a little bit and think about what I have just read. This break can also allow time for me to jot anything down if I need to. Then I will get back to the reading and repeat as often as I see fit. By doing, this I will be able to make the time limits and deadlines for each book. Using this strategy will keep me focused and on time with what has been
Before taking the Learning Style Inventory, I always felt I was mostly a tactile learner. I would be able to learn in a visual fashion if need be, but I would rather learn and by doing and making mistakes. After taking the Learning Style Inventory, the results definitely supported my initial thoughts. My tactile preference was 14 points higher than my auditory score, but only 2 points higher than my visual. Although I believe I will always will be a stronger tactile learner, my visual learner skills have been improving throughout my college learning experience. Plus, it’s important to note that many tactile learning situations are dependent on visual learning. This means that tactilely learning has been strengthening my visual learning skills.
Create a time management plan for your reading schedule to ensure you have ample time to read the book. Set due dates for each chapter and each part of the assignment. Review your schedule with a parent or guardian.

The learning style survey reflected that I am a strong visual learner. The survey was extremely accurate and has a strong correlation as to why certain subjects are easier for me to be successful in than others. For example, math is easier for me to grasp than literature based courses. Mathematics is comprised of complex formulas and diagrams. Explicit modeling must be done by the instructor (solving problems on the board and drawing diagrams) in order to effectively teach math. This is a direct contrast to literature instruction.
Your child/student took a “Learning Styles Inventory” last week to determine how they learn best. They discovered that they were a visual, an auditory, or a kinesthetic learner.
In this essay, we have been asked to explore two study skill, I have chosen to look at writing (academic style) and note taking. We also need to show these skills connect with both my student learning and my development at work in my role as a health care assistant and as a future assistant practitioner.
As said in the assignment I have to select a topic which is taken with two peered reviewed journal articles to do a comparative analysis. The subject I choose my articles are about gender and race in criminality. The two articles I selected were “Crime, Cops and Context” written by Andres F. Rengifo, Morgan Pater and Brenda J. Velazquez. The reason I choose the article is it seemed interested and informative. The second article is “Intersectionality of Race, Ethnicity, Gender and Age on Criminal Punishment” written by Darrell Steffensmeier, Noah Painter-Davis and Jeffery Ulmer. The reason I choose the article is it looked similar to the first article, so I thougt it would be good to do a review on similar subjects.
clients feelings. While my client was speaking, I used non-verbal words, such as I see, uh huh, and oh yea? I wanted to make sure my client could count on me to pay attention and trust I wasn’t just talking with her because it’s my job. I wanted her to feel that I really cared.
modifying resumes and cover letters before submitting them to an employer. We also discussed how to prepare for an interview. Interviewees need to think of answers to commonly asked questions, work on maintaining confidence and clarity when speaking, and prepare questions for the interviewer.
I have past experience in Aseptic techniques, PCR sample preparation, chromatography techniques, as advertised. Which I gained the experience in how to perform in past practical sessions at both university and HNC. Furthermore, I have gained other skills not mentioned in the advertisement such as cell staining techniques, light microscopy, microbial identification. I have also skills involved in the plant sciences in measurement techniques such as leaf area, wet and dry mass.
After completing the self-reflection chart, I am confident that I have good note taking skills. Note taking skills seems to be my greatest strength. Proper note taking skills are crucial, because they allow me to spend more time focusing on the bigger picture of the assignment, and allow me more time to prep for the assignment and tests. Speaking of test, this is also an area I excel in, because I begin studying an assignment immediately. I like to do in-depth studying, look at the assignment from all angles, this is why I am rarely anxious in test taking, however, with strengths comes weaknesses, and I believe I would benefit more according to this assessment, if I would engage in group study, and incorporate other ideas from others into my
My score on the effective study skills quiz was 21. I believe that it is probably a fair score because my study skills are not very good. Usually when I get an assignment I put it off until the last minute and if it is not that important or not worth that many points I do not do it and if it is important then I just throw it together at the last minute and do the best that I can. Surprisingly, I still do pretty well even though it sounds like I should fail just about everything. However, I know that it will not work for much longer and I will need to put together a better way of studying soon. That being said, I believe that the main issue is just responsibility and holding myself accountable for my work. I need to put the priority of
Spatial, visual, and tactile, just a few of the results that were given to me after taking many tests. A total of four tests were taken the first was one found in-text in a book used in class. In the first test it was about learning styles, after answering all the questions, I primarily fell into the category of being a visual/graphic learner, but fairly close was tactile/kinesthetic and auditory/verbal. These results from the first test was really
A) I expected to get artistic, creative and investigative as my results on surveys that I took, because I already knew I had these traits as a part of my personality. However, the results from my learning styles survey were a little surprising to me. I got visual as my highest total score, while kinesthetic and auditory were almost balanced out scores. The reason why I was a little surprised was that last year, I took a survey to figure out my learning style, and I got both auditory and visual learner. The results have their little differences, but that shows people do change over time. Learning styles can be learned and strengthened.
Skills for visual and written analysis have emerged to be a central debate in different art societies. Writing about art has materialized to become a variable way to practice cultural, social, economic and political aspects. Precisely, a personal response to an art piece increases the understanding of the piece of art. As such, the role of individuals such as curators has become essential in improving the understanding of art. Evidence has proved that visual art has far reaching impact in reading, writing, geometry and science. Visual art creates an innate mental ability that envisions forms and observe closely different skills. Precisely, visual art is seen as a cultural vehicle that helps culture to share ideas. The incoming report investigates the works of Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres 29 August 1780 – 14 January 1867, who was NeoClassical painter. Ingres images perpetuate an alluring and rather misleading image of the orient. The report will compare a variety of images to provide a more truthful understanding of the Near East culture.
