Argumentative Essay: Does Violence Cause School Violence?

When a parent trusts their children to the school systems, they do so without the intentions of worrying about their child’s safety. Parents should not have to spend their day praying that their child will return home safely. Most of a child’s adolescence is spent in the care of teachers and other administrative staff members within the school system. These individuals are responsible for providing children with the learning tools to learn developmental and communication skills, which will lead them down a successful path by achieving their goals (McFalls 2017).
A foundation of memories both positive and negative are created throughout the child’s scholastic years by interacting with other children of all nationalities. They are exposed to different cultures, backgrounds, and religious beliefs. It is these interactions that may cause conflicts that sometimes arise due to cultural diversities, peer pressure, life circumstances, and over exposure. The directorial staff can only encourage students to learn how to resolve problems through effective communication without resorting to any form of physical violence. School violence is not a new concern; however, with the broad new world of experiences one might question, why does violence occur in the schools (McFalls 2017)?
