Basic Information- In this negotiation process, I negotiated with Ritah Kabagenyi who was on the other side as the seller of the Holden car. I was playing a role of a buyer. I wanted to purchase a car for my daily works. With my low budget of $8000(insurance of my old car) and $1400(saving for holidays). To finalise the deal, we arranged a meeting. b) Outcome Evaluation- The deal could not reach an agreement but the result of this was very satisfactory to me because I wanted to purchase a car that I could afford as per my budget but it was out of my financial limits. Thus, I was happy that I did not waste my whole money on an old car. 2. PROCESS: First of all, we introduced ourselves to each other. Ritah told me that she is a business woman and involved in import-export business and she wanted to sell a good conditioned 2007 Holden car. I asked about her expectations for the selling price of the car. Then she set her Asking Price at $11,800. When I heard her set price, at first I felt a little disappointment because I could not afford as it was beyond my budget. Secondly, she asked about my Target Point. I said that I could pay her only $7000 as this was my budget. To convince her I said that I am a student and I have a part time job. I added that my University is very far from my house so I needed that car. Then she inquired how I pay my tuition fees. I replied that my parents pay it. After getting it, she reduced the price to $10,500. But still, it was beyond my
My negotiation partner impressed me by setting the price at $33,000, and made me think that he had to charge us at $33,000. This increased my expected level of payment a lot. Before he gave the
Given the financial magnitude of this particular negotiation, all parts of this negotiation and interaction with one another required a great deal of listening and efficiently speaking. The car salesman had to, and did, listen to what I was looking for as far as a vehicle to purchase and he was able
Although the deal was not closed, the buyer and seller talked more about getting to know each other at a later time. The seller then understood he needed to talk less about business and get to know the buyer more personally.
1. How did you plan for the negotiation? Explain how you decided on a strategy?
After the negotiations, Vivian agrees to pay $12,500 for the car but needs another 3 weeks to get the money. Bernie agrees to wait if Vivian agrees to put down $1,000. Vivian agrees and Bernie drafts the one page agreement. Bernie stills wants to keep an open mind that

When Stan the salesman gave the buyers Jim and Laura a chance to test the cars that were lined for sale, he made an offer. Jim and Laura found a blue sedan car that best suited their needs. They went ahead to agree to buy the car and this was a clear show of
Actually I don’t know where I should start to tell my confounded life. Probably you know my family or saw on news; my father was working as a drug dealer, and he had loved milk. Milk… Milk saved my life. It was just ordinary; I got up with a buzz. When I entered the living room, I saw my mom with that stretch her pilates costume. She was disgusting as hell. You know pilates, girls do for looking well—such phoniness. After I saw her, I went the Silvio who is owner of the grocery. Believe me, he is the phoniest person that you can see. He cheats on his wife, every time that he can. Goddamn bastard. I left the house (I got the ax). When I came back, I heard racket which was coming from upstairs. Then… then I faced the goddamn stiffs of my family; even those sons of bitches killed my little brother. Blood coming from his back was flowing like a river. I was terribly shocked; my life was upside-down. I had not any money, a house to live and a family to be with them since they killed because of touchy job of my dad. Then I heard the oncoming footsteps, at that time I got that I was getting in trouble. Only way to live is escaping from that garbage, but there was one thing that I cannot decide: Where can I go? When I took a step, I faced with the D.E.A agents who are the murderers of my family. I attempted to run as hard as I can. Believe me, I am terrific runner. Did I tell the story about I broke the world record in athleticism last year? I was
In a buying and selling situation, I think that is it common for the buyer to say how much they want for an item, so I felt comfortable going first. I opened the negotiation with an asking price of $7,800. It soon became clear from her lack of
The topic I have chosen for this ISP is Holden’s desire for innocence in J.D. Salinger’s The Catcher in the Rye.
By calling and getting to know the seller of the Jetta we realize that the other person isn’t just trying to get rid of the car just for the sake of getting rid of it. They are selling this vehicle because they are in need of something else too. We are trying to access were they are coming from, but they aren’t giving us much to go on, other than they need to sell the car. This party is required to be involved in this process, they are the ones selling the car and if we can get it for less than
She kept asking me what occasion was this top for? Was I looking for long or short sleeve? Just all the right questions to put me in the direction of finding a top that would look great to go to school, she barely put in her input but when she did it wasn’t influential. I just merely glanced at what she was talking about and went back to looking for what I wanted. At the end I bought something she suggested that I tried on and with earrings she had suggested too because, it clearly was a match that I couldn’t resist
Sonia Moskovy, a medium length black hair light skinned woman with green eyes, was driving back from the mall. As she was driving, she immediately had to stop and go check the car out--gorgeous white 2018 Range Rover Sport. It was a beautiful morning at the Land Rover shop.
Innovative thinking, initiative, an ability to think outside the box, risk-taking and leadership could have possibly overcome the fatal situation of Holden Manufacturing Group. This could have been approached from two perspectives both stemming from reconsideration of Holden's manufacturing fundamentals and strategies.
If I was in place of Marcia I would not have expressed overt excitement for the car after it was first shown to me. Unlike Marcia who said, “I always wanted a car like this”. My response would have been, “It seems a bit overloaded for my needs, but it looks like a nice car so I would like to take it out for a spin”. After driving the car I would have said, “I really liked the car’s design, handling and drive but I definitely will not go for full option list and quad stereo. Also magnesium hubs don’t suit my taste, so won’t be taking those. How much is the cost”? After hearing the price at $15,750 I would have told him that it was
