The Human Communication System Is Important

Human beings and non-human beings communicate with each other with a code like system known as language. Language has 4 macro-functions to perform, i.e. ideational, interpersonal, textual and poetic. The systematic study of these functions and the understanding of the way the language is acquired and used in spoken and written text is known as Linguistics. Linguistics focuses mainly on the sound, syntactic and meaning level of a language under the names of Phonetics, Syntax and semantics/ Pragmatics as the core of Linguistics. Further, it is related to every field of life. Linguist started working on these fields of Linguistics and tried to implement them in the life. This became to be known as Applied Linguistics but in the beginning, it was more like Linguistics Applied, i.e. application of Linguistics.

Every people who meet each other will speak a language to prove that they are exists in their community. There are five components of speaking skill concerned with comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and fluency that may be assessed: (1) comprehension, for oral communication certainly requires a subject to respond to speech as well as to initiate it; (2) grammar, it is needed for students to arrange a correct sentence in conversation; (3) vocabulary, it means the appropriate choice of words which is used in communication; (4) pronunciation, it is the way for students to produce clearer language when they speak. and; (5) fluency, it can be defined as the ability to speak fluently and accurately (Mora,2010, Syakur, 1987 cited in

Communication is an important staple of human history. From the use of Egyptian hieroglyphs to the first appearance of emojis in Japan during the late nineteen-nineties. Methods of communication are ever-evolving and it is only a matter of time before the next sweeping form of interaction changes how we communicate. Before exploring the revolution which took place in the late nineteenth century, it is important to look at the pre-telephone era, the factors that went into the invention of the telephone, how the telephone changed the world, and how it impacts society today.

A simple relationship example would be on a crowded bus when people have to act with regard to some nonverbal sign, such as the presence of others and their location, to adjust their own behavior. Language development was the focus of chapter nine. In order to effectively communicate, children must master four concepts of language. The first is phonology, which refers to the way words sound. Second concept is semantic, which is the meaning of words and phrases. The third component is syntax, which are the rules that exist to put words and sentences together. Lastly is the pragmatics of language or strategies to successfully exchange words that is socially acceptable.

First, the professor states that response to different words or different sounds can not be interpreted as linguistic communication ability in accordance with the definition of language. He refutes this interpretation by defining language as a human brain activity that has specific criteria. This ability includes features such as creativity in using words and terms, taking turns, responding to different situations by one’s own without signal

The language is the specific quality observed as a human phenomenon. It includes the abilities to communicate with other people and even to perceive the initial thinking. However, the language has several distributions and it is divided into the spoken and written one. Both spoken and written languages have some similarities, such as having communicational functions, but they differ greatly in their origins, the principles and behavior, and in the vocabulary.

Essentially, the field explores the cognitive processes that underlie the function, storage, and acquisition of language. While psycholinguists understand that language users are unique individuals that possess different linguistic repertoires, their primary aim is to research general patterns of behavior across the human mind. Those patterns could potentially illustrate the capabilities and biases of the human psyche and

Communication is necessary for society and culture to function, and have change and continuity. Communication involves a sender conveying a message with verbal or nonverbal words or gestures to a receiver who encodes and understands the message then replies using the same form of communication. Verbal communication uses words and speech sent in a written or spoken medium. Nonverbal communication makes up for where verbal communication lacks, using gestures, body language or facial expressions to convey a short message.

Communication in your daily life can cause problems eventually. Planning a trip for your family takes time and effort to present the idea. Communicating to certain family members could be difficult in explaining the plan. Take the time to brain storm on piece of paper to list important matters before speaking. Evaluate alone and practice speaking and listen to how it sounds. Decide on different places and prices for the trip for starters also things they might need on the trip and what business they should take care at home. The list should consists of reservations for hotels, emergency contact numbers, suitcases for personal items, bills are taking care of, checking the forecast, form of transportation, money, school absence report immediately and more. Using visual aids such as charts, graphs and written materials is great information for communication. A problem occurred when one or two out the group refuse to cooperate and the presentation for the trip is repeatedly several times (Ridley, 2008)

Over the centuries of human development, initial grunts and hand signs have been replaced by more complicated language structures as a basis of communication. Today, it is not only words and their assigned meanings that make the bulk of communication among people. There are also subtle nuances of meaning and implied meaning that are often misunderstood or misconstrued. Furthermore, elements such as lying and misunderstanding also influence how language is used and perceived among individuals. Because language forms the majority of communication among human beings, it is also true that it is closely connected to cognitive psychology and the way in which human beings ensure their health on various levels, including the mental level. In order to further consider this, concepts such as lexicon, the features of language, and the four levels of language can be usefully examined.

Since communication is of such vital importance to the well-being of an individual’s psychological and social health, being able to actually communicate is a sociological imperative. As a result of that the learning and understanding of language is of great importance to people with in a society. Although of greater, importance is the ability to speak the same language or to have the ability to communicate in a common language. Without a common or intelligible language, it is impossible for proper communication between people to occur. Language is essentially a code that is utilizes words, phrases and sentences to convey a particular meaning. Language can be conveyed via verbal speech, signed language, codes such as Morse code and through written methods.

Human Communication is defined as “the process of making sense out of the world and sharing that sense with others by creating meaning through the use of verbal and nonverbal messages” (Interpersonal communications textbook). Communication is an essential skill for our day-to-day lives. It can be divided into several categories such as; intrapersonal, communication with self, interpersonal, communication with others, and nonverbal, our facial expressions and body language. Each of these categories of communication intertwines, having a significant effect on how we express ourselves to those around us. Interpersonal communication is necessary for existence; However, it is primarily affected by both our intrapersonal self and our nonverbal messages.
