The IB program offers a well rounded education- unique to less than 900 schools in the United States- an education I believe would benefit me greatly. The IB program will offer me higher levels of learn through a more challenging curriculums and different style of test taking. In addition my writing skills will greatly improve with more writing based assignments, a skill that will notably help me in college as many of the assignments are similar in nature. The IB program gives me the chance to be part a small and close-knit community, one that is similar to the small private school I went to for elementary and middle school. Finally the curriculum make will make me stand out over other students when it is time to apply to colleges in the US and abroad.
The Suny Stony Brook Honors College would be a perfect fit for me for a wide array of reasons. Even though I may not seem like a suitable candidate for this program by being part of this program I will gain the extra motivation to work harder at my work. The Honors College provides its students the opportunity to participate in research at its highest level. This is very important to me because in High school I did research at a university and this helped me learn a great deal about the topic and by doing research in Stony Brook I can better understand my major. Also in the honors college these students are given the chance to be close with the faculty. This will greatly give beneficial to me because it will help me learn much better when I

Interprofessional Education, IPE event took place on July 22nd, 2016. The purpose of IPE is for us to learn how to work together as a health care team effectively collaborating with other health care members. In order to do so, each individual needed to understand not only his or her role and responsibility of a given role but also other team members’ roles and responsibilities. In our event, it was Interprofessional Health care Team Simulation with roles of a registered practical nurse and a Food Service supervisor, and a registered social worker and a personal support worker and a patient and her family member. We were given the scenario with the patient, Mrs. Johnston, 93 years old resident of a nursing home. My role was a RPN. The situation given was that we were asked by the patient’s family member to have a meeting with the health care team since her family member was concerned about her declining health status accompanied by her body weight loss.
I feel like this would be an opportunity to expand in depth in my discipline, as well as learn in a small classroom setting. Through the honors college curriculum, I feel like I have an advantage over my peers because of the unique quality of classes available to me. The opportunity to take these unique classes would make me into a more well rounded student, more understanding of the problems and challenges regarding the discipline that I choose to study. I am certain that the UIC honors college is a perfect fit for me because it fulfills my goal of undergraduate research, as well as enriching my undergraduate
Critical thinking means to think correctly in to find knowledge that is relevant and reliable. In terms of a liberal arts education critical thinking is crucial because a liberal arts education teaches students skills that are needed in the rapidly changing world that usually requires a lifetime of self-learning and understanding. Critical thinking is something that people usually must learn on their own; however, as a liberal arts school it is taught, so we have a better understanding of thinking critically.
UIC Honors College has always been my ambition since the day I decided to go to college. One of the main reason to go to Honors College is because it gives me opportunity to work with Excellent Professor and also learning under their guidance is the prestige experience that I want to gain in my life. Not only that, by getting those need and merit based scholarships would help me fulfill my priority, to support my family financially. I want myself to be part of the leadership opportunities that the honors college offers. Moreover, being a constituent of the community that encourages the development of academic excellence helps me to gain important parts of my life that will be helpful in my future. Moving forwards,
These programs have helped me in multiple ways in order to help me grow as a student. As you can see, I am qualified to attend this school, and I am going to work hard as a student
Attending the “Interprofessional Education” (IPE) session was extremely beneficial and informational for me as an occupational therapy (OT) student. It was beneficial for me for one of two reasons: first it enabled me to inform and educate other professional students about OT. We are told in our program that many professions are unaware of what we do, and that we have to continuously advocate and educate others on what we do and why our profession is so important, in order to remain a profession. I was surprised to discover that so many different professions had never heard of OT. Many students thought OT was a branch of physical therapy, a career finding profession or had heard of OT but had no idea what it was. Secondly, it was beneficial for me to learn exactly what other professionals are doing and hear what their goals were in improving client care. Knowing what other professionals do will benefit my career so that I know who is writing the referrals and where I can refer my clients if needed to. In addition, when working on a health care team, aiming to be client centered, it is critical for each profession to be knowledgeable of one another so that each client is getting the maximal and most beneficial care needed.
The biggest reason the Jackson Early College Program would benefit me is the cost-effectiveness of the program. As a high school senior, I would be able to attend college courses anyways. However, with the Early College Program, I would be able to attend classes at a reduced cost. Despite the availability of scholarships, I do not qualify for many of them and I do not qualify for many grants from the government either. College is becoming increasingly expensive and being able to save even a miniscule amount of money is incredibly beneficial to me.
Indiana University Southeast’s career opportunity ranges communications to psychology and business to nursing. When the students being interviewed expressed why they chose Indiana University Southeast, their many reasons were due to the fact that it's affordable, close to home, and most importantly, had their ideal career. I have always felt the need to succeed in school to help me achieve my life goals. The Honors College helps me with this by offering classes that are meant to challenge me and allow me to reach a greater potential. Not only are the classes challenging, but they are offered in a wide variety of subjects so that I can challenge myself in multiple aspects of my education. By studying subjects outside my field of study, I am able to become a more well-rounded, informed citizen. This then allows me to better contribute to society and affect the lives of the people around me. The honors classes are also a wonderful opportunity to really focus on a topic and be able to get more help because the classes are smaller. Going to a large college, it is
I feel your program can help me grow academically. Also help me grow as a person. My family, my children are what keep me going, because I want nothing but the best for them. To give them the best I most stay in school and graduate with a degree. But also to let my kids know you don’t have to stop there.
There were many ways I could have gone about writing this essay, the needless use of big words to convey simple points, the insertion of irrelevant long quotes just to make the minimum page requirement, but this is the last undergraduate essay I will ever write. If I will write, I might as well write with my best effort and in my own style. Reflecting over my journey these last five years has been difficult. These years have been filled with so many trials and tribulations that it feels as though a lifetime has passed since I first set foot on the campus of Baylor University, yet at the same time it feels as though it went by so fast, I merely blinked and it was over. I can honestly say the Baylor Interdisciplinary Curriculum (BIC) is my greatest and most precious takeaway from my undergraduate experience. It was in the BIC that I learned to enlarge my perspective, become more fully aware of myself, and become prepared for leadership and service. I have been challenged by the BIC and to my surprise, I rose to the challenge. This experience cannot be fully explained without evaluating and reflecting upon the various worlds, lives, and cultures explored in the BIC and how they are personally related to me.
