I am writing this letter to apply for the position of Coordinator-Early Childhood Education. In the next paragraphs, I would like to give you a short history of how I have grown professionally since I became an Early Childhood Education Professional. The paragraphs will also highlight my professional accomplishments and state the reason why I am seeking a position with Washington Unified School District.
In December 2006, I joined Peninsula Family Service Agency as one of their site directors for their Plaza Child Development program in Redwood City. When I joined, Plaza was one of the worst programs at the verge of collapsing. As a way to save this program, Peninsula Family Service applied for Preschool for All funding through San Mateo County Office of Education. One of the requirements for this particular funding was for programs to receive score of 5 or above in ECERS. I was given the job with the stipulation that I may not have a job if the program did not meet the requirements in less than a month. With my leadership and experience in early childhood education, Peninsula Family Service opened the center on time, within budget and received one of the highest quality rating for any Preschool for All Program in the county.
When Peninsula Family Service had to close the center because of CDE budget cuts, I was transferred to the main office and was promoted to the role of Associate Program Director-Compliance and Quality. This was a new position within the Child

The Assistant Director graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and now oversees staffing of the classrooms and facilitates sets up appointments and meetings, manages on sight records and finances and ensures that all procedures and lesson plans are being implemented. My mother’s social and conventional interest led her to a field where she could express both and at the same time “have her children close to her and see them throughout the day.” It wasn’t something she intended on doing, however, over the years her skills developed and she found it beneficial to be in this field. She loves that she “isn’t confined to a desk and that she is able to meet and interact with all kinds of people.” She believes that jobs that allow flexibility, help you grow, and give you the ability to make a positive change in people’s lives are the best kinds. However, jobs that offer a generous income and qualified, well-rounded coworkers are also important to her. Based on this, her work values line up with altruism, economic return, associates, variety and intellectual stimulation. Although, she wishes “the field of early childhood education was valued as important as
Chapter two discusses various theorists that helped to mold and shape early childhood education to where it is today. There are several different theorists that contributed to the development of early childhood education. Some of these theorists include Alfred Adler, Jean Piaget, Lev Vygotsky, and John Dewey. Each theorist developed a unique theory that has caused early childhood guidance and education to flourish like it has today. Without learning and building on these theories, early childhood guidance and education would never develop or change. The chapter explains how some theories may seem strange to the contemporary families, but these theories are the foundation of how early childhood education got to where it is today. The book goes

Early childhood is a field I see myself staying in for a long time. I am currently working at a child care center, and enjoy learning about the different ways to run a center and the new information available to us. I have worked at two child care centers, and while the curriculum and rules are different, the goal of having the best quality of service for the parent is the same. Providing for parents and wanting the best for every student by having staff who wants to work and wants to do everything they can to supply the best for children is how to deliver quality care. After finishing school, I would like to open up my own child care center. By creating a safe, fun, and loving environment for children, they are able to learn, grow, and develop, in the best possible way.

I am currently a student at Western Michigan University studying Early Childhood Professional Education. I am looking into jobs for this upcoming fall semester, and if given the chance, the Children’s Place Learning Center would be a great opportunity to continue gaining experience for my field of study. I am writing to express my interest in a position as a daycare employee. I am experienced with children from ages 2 ½ to 12. My previous job at a daycare has given me the reassurance that working with children is my passion. I enjoy seeing children grow academically and personally.
While regulation and standard are the keys to the success of a childcare facility, there are factors that I believe are equally important to be successful in an early childcare program. So, I looked for a highly qualified teacher with good communication skills. Saint Mary Academy Inc. displayed these factors upon entry to the facility. I saw degrees of teacher and directors ranging from masters to bachelor degrees specialized for the profession display behind the desk of the director for the day.
Mary first decided to get her associates degree in early child development at a slow pace, which was 16 years ago. She then got a position at Fresno City College part time and also another position as a teacher’s aide at another school working with preschool children, working 19 hours a week for a little over a year. She had gotten a full time position at

I have been a preschool teacher, teaching mixed age children from 18 months to 5 years, for over 10 years. I started as a work study employee, while attending the Community College of Philadelphia in 2006, to a part-time teaching assistant while attending Temple University in 2010. This led me to a lead-teacher position after graduation and then to a program coordinator. I have developed effective working relationships with children in the past years. This position has helped me improve my teamwork and interpersonal skills by cooperating with other teachers in planning teaching materials according to the Reggio Emilia approach and by sharing teaching resources. I decided that working with children, understanding and assisting in their education,
Early education for children is very crucial as it helps shape up the foundation of their knowledge and behavior development process. Children begin to develop the sense of curiosity from the age of two. And from age 2-8, children go through a very crucial period of mental development, which shapes up their future mindset (Grayson, 2016). Early children education (ECE) has been listed as the number one priority of the National Association of Education. The teachers or educators at nursery and primary level are responsible to for developing young children’s sense of knowledge and education.
