The common thought of exercise is that it is only for those who want to get bigger, stronger, or lose weight. In actuality, there is much more than physical effects. While a change in physique due to weight loss or an increase in muscle mass are external effect of exercise, internal effects can lead to a healthier, happier, and longer life. Regular exercise has an overall, positive effect on the body, weight management, the cardiovascular system, and the immune system are some of the most important of these benefits.
The two predominant types of exercise are aerobic and anaerobic exercise. The Gale Encyclopedia of Fitness describes Aerobic exercise as “continuous exercise of relatively low intensity but long duration” (Sisk and Atkins). These exercises could include ones such as jogging or playing a sport to increase the heart rate, strengthening the circulatory system. Anaerobic exercise is “any activity or sport that involves brief spurts of intense, difficult activity that typically lasts from a few seconds to about two minutes” (Atkins). A prime example of anaerobic exercise is lifting weights to strengthen the muscle. Though these two types of exercise are different in many ways, they have similar health benefits for the human body.

The first way is that exercise can control weight, that help prevent excess weight gain and maintain the weight that was loss. The physical activity helps burn calories, the more intense the activity the more you burn. The second way is the health conditions that combats with exercise, by having blood pressure any type of health problem can be decreased because by being active can prevent health problems that includes diabetes, stroke, arthritis and depression.
There are 3 types of exercise people need. Aerobic activity is when you pump oxygenated blood by your heart to deliver oxygen to working muscles. Aerobic activity is also called “cardio”. The other 2 exercise are strength training and flexibility.
Exercise not only gives us greater strength and fitness but also increase our well-being and keeps us healthy. It might not be so today, but sometime in the future, most of us realize how important it is to take care of their body and keep it in shape.

When you are training your stroke volume increases as well. When you first start exercising the heart rate rises quickly. When you finish exercising your heart rate declines faster than usual.
At every age, exercise is important to keep a part of one's life. Directly, exercise improves your health and can help with the prevention of diseases such as type two diabetes and obesity. Not only that, but it can make your bones and muscles stronger. In the long run however, exercise will benefit your overall mentality. Exercise reduces stress, helps with depression, and creates a more healthy and happy state of mind. Personally, I enjoy doing gymnastics and playing soccer. Until last year, they both challenged me; my asthma would occasionally act up, but that would only push me to work harder.
