Intro: Cecil’s deli story. Were the apostles more concerned with corn beef rather than conversion?

V. Making an Impact (vv.27-42)
Disciples come storming in shoving food at each other - bad timing. Story about bad timing - Taking wife's jewelry to a jeweler to be cleaned, then she wants to wear it while its being cleaned.
Disciples saw the unseen yet did nothing!
Turn to 2 Kings 7:3-11
This is what the woman did. She went to share the good news with everyone. Lets us not miss the irony of her words "come see a man" - she had 5 husbands and a live in lover and she's saying come meet a man. I'm sure people were laughing at her at first.
Why did the town listen? She was the same on the outside but yet different on the inside. - Story about Matts and the juicy lucy - typical hamburger but way different on the inside, just like the woman. So powerful and transformational was the change that the woman went through that people noticed the change.
Jesus - telling the disciples that the harvest is plenty and easy compared to the planting done by the prophets.
Conclusion
Sharing the good news about Jesus Christ with others in a different part of the world is a work to which some believers have a special calling, but in which all believers are to take part of locally.
We all can witness by using the acromion FISH - Friendly Initiate Story/Service Hope. It wasn't an accident that Jesus called fisherman to be his disciples. Remember Jesus said “Come, follow
In their book, The Great Commission to Worship, Vernon Whaley and David Wheeler takes an in depth look at commandment from Jesus for His followers to go out and spread the Good News of salvation. Today’s Christian seems to have a misconception about their role in evangelism. As the authors stated, “many times in Scripture it appears
The person whom I intend to share the Gospel with is my friend Drew Harmatz. We have been friends now for over three years and over that time grown to be really good friends. Even though we are good friends we do not share the same beliefs. Drew is Jewish and has chosen to stick with his birth religion because he likes the Jewish moral compass. Basically, he has expressed that he feels the Jewish culture is more peaceful and presents a better moral basis than that of any other religion. While we have talk of God, Christ, and the Bible; I have never tried to relay the Gospel to him.
In summary, McRaney noted that the witness “should prayerfully and persistently pursue the presence of lost people, then proclaim and persuade at the prompting and in the power of the Holy Spirit” (p. 73). The next several chapters
The people who are gathered in front of Jesus did not understand that this bread was provided by God, they thought Moses had fed the people. The bread was sent from heaven to supply for the physical needs of the people. The people do not understand that Jesus can fill them in a way that no bread is able to. It is evident that this crowd does not yet understand what it means to be a true disciple of Jesus.
1) Mark 16:15 says, “He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.”
Jesus was the perfect missionary. Jesus went to different places and taught the word of God. Jesus drew people unto him. Jesus told his disciples, that if they follow him, he would make them fishermen of men. Jesus taught anywhere. Jesus delivered the word so profoundly.
12- “Believers who are amazed by Jesus tell others, and they in turn are amazed.” When we tell others about Christ, great things happen through the power of Christ.
Moral traits are shaped by the culture you’ve grown up in. This can be found true in the novel The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver, characters prove in many ways how their culture shows through the approach to the Price family. The Price family moved to the Kilanga to spread the word of Jesus Christ. While on their mission they come to meet a individual by the name of Anatole Ngemba that shows how the Congo does define a person's character but by their actions only.
In a world that does not know the Gospel anymore, we must indulge in it, and love our fellow community though they may not share similar values, but find balancing in still remaining in our own values. Though many of times we find ourselves in opposition of the majority of the world, we must exude Christ love onto others as He does to us unconditionally. The author addresses ways in which we are able to live out our faith and still find a place within our community though they may not share similar values.
There are many ways Christians can share the gospel with those around them. One way is the Dare 2 Share Live that is happening on October 13th, 2018. This event was created to mobilize some 25,000 teenagers in their own communities. It will be from coast-to-coast and include encompass 100 different cities. The purpose is to equip these teens to go out and share the good news of Jesus with their classmates and friends. Equipping teens themselves to reach their peers makes the most sense as they are the ones who have the opportunity to share Christ's love with those around them day in and day out.
At first the failed to approach evangelism the correct way. The disciples fail to prioritize evangelism and they overlook the woman or see her spiritual needs. They fail to realize the spiritual harvest ripe before them (John 4:35) they weren't able to see how big the harvest could be, but instead not knowingly they try to distract Jesus by telling Him to eat.
As I was reading James Eunice’s biography tonight, it struck me with a feeling of despair, but, also, with a desire to spread the gospel. Throughout our lives, there are many moments that we just let pass by, not sharing God’s word with those which do not know him and later feeling regret for our actions. While this is accurate for a lot of people, from what I have read and heard about James, he was beyond doubt a remarkable young man because he shared God’s word every day with anyone who would listen. If everyone was like James and loved people, life, and God just as much as he did, I believe the world would be a way better place. So, from this moment on, I am going to make it a point to try and be just as remarkable as he was and share God’s kindness, love, and forgiveness with everyone that I meet.
Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every nation. (Mark 16:15)
Christians are commanded in the Bible to take the gospel into all the world. God desires that all people know Him. However, since He is in heaven and not on the earth now, it is up to His people to show others the way to Him. Much of that testimony for Christ is through the way Christians lives are lived. It is well known that
This course has had a great impact on my walk with Christ as well as my witness for Christ. I pastor a church and teach two classes and for me I thought that I was doing plenty. However this course has helped rekindle my passion for sharing Jesus Christ with people through personal evangelism. This paper will demonstrate what I have learned throughout this course.
